Has anyone successfully applied for DTV through HCM? In the case I'm unemployed, is it sufficient to just have a letter explaining how I will be able to sustain my life in Thailand?
When using soft power make sure your school / gym etc includes documents to establish they are legitimate and professional. Just an invite letter on its own rarely gets accepted these days. Another tip is make sure the establishment is on Google maps and has a data check on there so people can see company registration details.
I’m debating whether to do soft power for cooking for my dtv or workcation since I work remotely but I’m not sure if my offer letter or employment contract specifically states that they don’t mind where I work but it does state that it’s a remote position. I could ask them for one but asking them to do anything in a timely manner is a joke. The offer letter/contract does specifically state I only have to be local for equipment pickup not sure if that matters. Any insight or advice would be appreciated. I also plan to get my 15 year old daughter a dependent dtv visa and I’m assuming I’ll wait until I’m approved then submit my approval with the same bank statements i am using along with her passport and passport photos. Will my drivers license, her learners permit, and a utility bill be enough for proof of address? I’m not sure if I’ll apply here in the US or wait until I go to Hanoi.
Thinking of applying for DTV under soft power (muay thai).
A school told me before ppl could get away with just 3 month courses, now 6 is not even enough, hence they offer only 9 month courses .... The school is called FitFac and is quite big. I doubt they would want to scam me like that. Wyt folks?
Hi there, just wondering where does everyone add on their cover letter with brief explanation of intent to apply for the dtv? Does it go in one pdf just before the financial evidence or my softpower documents? Another thing would be, if my muay thai courses will be in bangkok, can I provide travel details for another city, as we had plans to travel around first? Thanks!
For anyone considering using House of Taste cooking classes for their soft power DTV application, be advised they’re charging THB15,000 now instead of THB10,000 for the 6 month course. Apparently they raised prices after Songkran…
