Just at Phuket airport flying out to HCM and got questioned a bit, apparently (Phuket) immigration could have processed the DTV if already in Thailand on a valid ED visa? Explained to her we need to be out the country etc etc, she went off to double check but insisted they can/could have processed.

Given she spoke fluent English, seems unlikely to have been a miscommunication/misunderstanding. Anyone heard of this before?

Do you need to fill in documents, photocopies and give a passport photo ....like at immigration?

Or do you just hand over the money to immigration and give you the re entry stamp?

Is it possible to get a re-entry stamp at the AirPort in Phuket right before the flight?

If So, is the price the same 1.000baht?

You'll find the re-entry visa facility in the passport control area on the left.

There are no specific hours, but the same office handles overstays.

The staff is very serious but courteous and helpful.

Arrive with completed TM8 documents and photocopies of the passport's first page, visa, and last entry stamp. Everything was done in 10 minutes.

It's ESSENTIAL to have photos with you.

Am I correct in thinking that my friend from Myanmar who has a B non immigrant visa and a work permit will need to purchase a re entry permit if he is leaving Thailand for a couple of days. If leaving from Phuket airport can this be purchased at the airport.
