My husband got approved for his non-oa and my daughter and I have applied for our non-o dependent visas trailing his non-oa.

Do my daughter and I need to show a ticket leaving Thailand within 90 days of our arrival?

Does my husband need to show a ticket leaving Thailand within 365 days of his arrival?

Thanks in advance.
Answer summary
The user inquired whether their daughter and they need to present exit tickets upon entering Thailand on Non-O dependent visas, and if their husband needs one for his Non-OA visa. Responses clarified that non-O and non-OA visas do not typically require onward tickets, as they can usually be extended beyond the initial 90 days. However, there are caveats regarding the approval of dependent visas for children, with some users suggesting a backup plan in case of complications.

No requirement for onward or return tickets with Non-OA or Non-O visas as both can be converted to annual extensions of stay. Children might be denied Non-O visas and be required to get Education visas.

Steven L. Daugherty Thank you. I submitted her application and they asked for a letter of consent to travel so fingers crossed.

Have a back up plan for your dependant visa. My Non O Dependant Visa was approved , but my 2 kids were not. No explanation. They will need educational visas now, and the temporary return tickets to board our fligjt.

Latrice DiFulvio Harrison Thanks. I already emailed them and they said it should be ok. We will figure it out if not. My husband's visa got approved in less than 1 business day, we should know soon.

The visa applications do not ask for a ticket, they ask for travel information. Most embassies will not follow-up and ask for a ticket, but there's a few that will. Just find a flight and put in the information. As a non-O visa is only a 90-day visa, you would put an exit within 90 days. You are not required to exit during that time and can extend your stay instead. Same goes for the non-OA.

Oh, I mean when we arrive to the airport. Do the airlines ask for proof of a ticket?

not on an O visa. Or they might ask but ask for a supervisor who understands the O is a l9ng stay visa.
