I just received an email for requested documents for my DTV application, but I don't know what to submit. Even tho I submitted most of supported documents in the original application.
Here is the list of requested documents:
1. A copy of the company's registration/business license along with GST registration
I do not have a registered business. I work as a freelancer with independant monthly contracts. What documents should I submit here? Can I submit my client's LLC? What else should I submit to support my case?
2. Flight details and Hotel accommodation
I had submitted the flight number (no tickets) & agoda hotel bookings. Do I need to book a flight now and submit the ticket itself?
My hotel bookings were booked on 'pay later/free cancellation' option. And they have expired, do i need to rebook or should i just submit the pdf that was submitted in the original application?
3. A foreign employment contract or employment certificate
I do not have a employee certificate, although I do have a few client's contracts. I was also advised to add a letter head and stamp of your name at the top of the contract. What do you suggest?
4. Copies of all pages of the passport
I can submit these.
PS. I am applying at the Mumbai's thai consular in India. From other's experience, they tend to look for strong proof of regular employment and if one can sustain themselves in thailand.
I am very grateful for this group and the people in this community helping each other out 🙏. Thank you so much to everybody! All respectful opinions are appreciated!
Approved at once, without additional documents or interview, on Thursday 9am
Supplied documents:
Bank statement of personal account with +500k baht and with all transfers of the last 6 months (highlighted all the monthly wages transferred from my business account)
Not needed, but I added 6 months of transfers from business account as well. I highlighted all the incoming money from clients so they could link it to the added contracts and invoices. Also highlighted the wages I paid myself so it could be matched with the personal account transfers.
Contract with client
5 invoices from 2 different clients
Permission from myself (the business owner) to myself to work remotely
CV
Copy passport stamp and Airbnb reservation
Entry and exit statement: you have to get this at Taipei immigration, without it you won’t get your visa. Entry stamp and Airbnb reservation alone is not sufficient
Is it possible to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) without a registered business? I work as a freelancer and, due to being below the taxation minimum bracket in my home country, I’m not legally required to register a business.
I can provide the following supporting documentation:
• A portfolio showcasing my work.
• A client list with active contracts.
• Bank statements demonstrating regular income from clients.
Would this be sufficient for a successful application? I plan to apply in Ho Chi Minh City.
*Applying for DTV in Ho Chi Minh two weeks from today*
I’m self employed and I do business consulting and brand management for different types of businesses, but i have service agreements with each client signed by me under my business name.
What are the best practices for including client contracts?
Also how should i show my personal income? Should it be my LLC paying me as an employee or do bank statements for 6 months suffice?
I have the bank statements but I really don’t want to deal with back and forth of requesting more documents.
I know the self employment can be a little wonky some places
All help appreciated, this is my first visa ever so I’m nervous😅
