I'm an Italian woman and I'm coming to Thailand with my 75-year-old mother. We've booked a 75-day return ticket with Emirates (from December 15, 2025, to February 28, 2026).
We'd like to know what we need to do for the visa.
I'm planning to head to Melbourne Aus in October for about a week to visit friends and family. (I'm a UK citizen so that's easy)
I'd like to take my Thai partner with me. Can anyone whose done it recently advise on the type of short term visa for a thai citizen and what Aus immigration will look for in terms of requirements?
Hi all. I am trying to extend my visa exemption (60 days) through the e-extension option on the Chiang Mai Immigration site. I understand I still need to go into the immigration office. I'm just not sure what "Current Visa Sub Category" as I can't see anything listed there on the stamp in my passport. Any ideas?
Hi...I'm Ken - a traditional 6 month tourist visitor to Thailand. Had to pay a 10k bribe to BKK immigration recently to come in from a recent visa run or they would send me back to where I'd come form. They said they Red Flagged my passport for needing a long-term visa the next time I visit.
- The Retirement Visa doesn't work for me because I'm rather mobile and after getting one I'd be forced to return to TH in person to renew at a certain time each year.
Been looking into the METV....
If I understand it right
- It allows for a 6 month stay.
- I'm allowed to stay the first time 60 days...which can be extended an additional 30 days.
- Then I can return after a visa run and start the process over.
Questions:
- Has anyone in this group ever gotten one of these?
So I am on a 60 days visa exempt stamp with less than 30 days left. I have a family in Thailand. My question is: would it be possible that I could extend for another 30 days based on tourism first and later do another extension for 60 days based on Thai family? And, another question: can that be done at any immigration office in Thailand or does it have to be only from the local immigration office where my family are based?
hi. as read in threads here, as i failed to fill tm30 at the beginning of my stay, i will go tomorrow staying 2 nights in a cheap hotel so they fill one for me. i was warned by this hotel receptionist though that since i will only stay two nights that, based on this tm30, i will be only granted 2 days extension max. is that true ? if yes what do i need to do? give proof of my following month bookings aswell ?
Hi everyone, I’m in Thailand on a British passport, I have been across the boarder into Loa , re-entered Thailand and received a 60day stamp , I now wish to stay longer .. If I fly to Vietnam for a weeks stay and then return to Thailand by air will I receive another 60day stamp ?? Also can I just fly into Vietnam or do I have to have a Visa before arrival ?? TIA …. 😐
