Hey guys, my first 180 days on DTV are coming to an end, I need to do the "visa run" and have some questions:

1.Does anyone did that by land border and not airplane? Any problems?

2. Is there amount of minimum days I need to stay out of country? Or can I just leave get stamp and come back?

3. Which countries you recommend for smooth process?

Thanks in advance and good luck to people who just apply!🙏

What steps need to be taken after you have received your DTV and crossed back into Thailand with your DTV stamp?

Hi, does anyone know if the Mae Sot-Myawaddy border crossing is open? It is the closest one to where I live for a border run.

Hi. I have a colleague that recently obtained a NON B visa in Vientienne Laos. He used the Nong Kai border crossing. He has only just noticed that the border crossing did not see his Non B visa and stamped him in for 30 days. On speaking to our local immigration (Chachoengsao) they have advised any border crossing can amend the stamp for him. The nearest border crossing for him is Aranyaprathet into Cambodia. I just want to know if anyone can confirm this is correct I don't want him to have a wasted journey if they say he needs to go to NongKai for the amendment. Thanks

Hello everyone. I already crossed the land border from Vientiane into Thailand twice this year. Once without a visa and once with a tourist visa. Does it mean I made my 2 crossings this year or does the time I had a visa don’t count? I’m asking cause I heard different stories.

TIA.

Hi gang,

Is this a viable border crossing for 90day stamps? Google maps directed me this way and it says there is a crossing but I don't recall ever seeing anyone talk about it. It's convenient for me as the fam live in Phayao.

Cheers

Asking for a friend -

Can you do a border bounce at Mae Sai with no visa? I am finding conflicting information, some saying you need a visa, some saying it is fine to border bounce there with no visa. Any info would be appreciated!

Boarder bouncers to Ranong (Victoria point & Andaman club) with valid non b/wp and other visa types are often asked for bribe. Is this frequent practice at boarders throughout the country or just Ranong?

Can I do a border run to Myanmar to get a NEW visa exempt stamp?

My tourist visa expired and I need 30 more days. Have heard that you can only do the land run to Myanmar as a re-entry on a 6 month multi entry visa.

So if I just need to cross the border to get a new visa exempt, is Myanmar and option by land right now?

And which border crossing should I use?

Many thanks!!! 🙏🙏
