Asking for a friend -
Can you do a border bounce at Mae Sai with no visa? I am finding conflicting information, some saying you need a visa, some saying it is fine to border bounce there with no visa. Any info would be appreciated!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The Mae Sai border with Burma allows for a 30-day visa exempt entry stamp, but there are specific rules to follow. As of December 31, 2016, two visa exempt entries are allowed per calendar year at land crossings. A fee of 500 baht or a $10 USD bill is required for the stamp in and out. While technically you can get a visa exempt stamp at this border, those without a visa planning to bounce at Mae Sai should be aware of these limits.
