Has anyone received a DTV with the soft power for cooking lessons? The site for USA is a bit vague.

Wonder if the cooking class needs to be a certain length of time, etc ? I see a bunch of 1 day classes but assume they are looking for something more than that...? Anything else?

I would suspect that you just present your class registration receipt?

Thanks

DTV approved in Hanoi. Made an appointment online, attended Monday and picked up the visa today. They said 3 workings days but mine was done in 2.

I provided 6 months bank statements with the 500k Thai baht minimum, I only had it in one account for a 5 month period but gave them bank statements for the missing month showing the source of these funds. They generally want the funds to be liquid and withdrawable.

I stated that I have 3 sources of income:

1. Engineering technician (provided portfolio and recent signed letter from a client stating I have agreement to carry out work for him) I am not currently working in this role but expressed to them my intention is to get myself setup when I find accommodation.

2. Trading reports (provided transactions in this tax UK year and withdrawals to my bank accounts and shown on bank statements to prove income in this period)

3. Investment property income (provided invoice for payments to myself from tenant and management fees)

I summarised everything in a cover letter which tied all my evidence together and I think would go along way in any application. I provided in total 107 pages of evidence so I imagine they would have struggled to make sense of everything without the cover letter.

Also gave last years tax return, proof of location in Vietnam (hotel reservation is fine). They didnโ€™t require travel or accommodation for Thailand to be booked.

Found the process to be easy, staff were friendly and she even helped me print out some documents I managed to forget!

Fee was 340 usd only (I asked for fresh notes at the exchange). They made sense of everything at the desk before accepting the application and taking my money.

DTV was given to me as a sticker inside my passport

Any questions hit me up

Hi all my mum would like to come to Thailand in October for about 5 months, and then ideally keep doing that until she's ready to retire.

My question is what visa would be beneficial for her? I was thinking a multi entry tourist visa, but I am not sure how they work.

Can anyone shed some light?

Many thanks

Good Evening ๐Ÿ˜Š

I'm in need of advice and would be very grateful ๐Ÿ™ to anyone that's been through a similar situation.

Myself and 2 half Thai children will be arriving in Thailand from South Africa on the 20th April with a non immigrant O visa based on marriage.

My eldest son from previous marriage so not Thai will join us next year he will be 20 years old by then.

So my question is what kind of visa can I apply for for him as he will also be staying with me. His not able to work his special needs.

Please any help would be greatly appreciated ๐Ÿ™

Thank you

Question:

When you are renewing your EofS at immigration.

1. Can you leave the country while you have a under consideration stamp.

2. Does it invalidate your renewal application.

3. Only applies if answer to No 1. question is Yes and No 2. is No. And if so are there rules on how to go about this. ( inform your immigration office time allowed to be away and so on.

As I understand it, Elite visa holders do not require the long stay 400,000b health insurance policy that holders of O & OA visa require.

As I also understand, as of 19/10/21 the amount of cover required for long stay visas has increased from 400,000b to 3,000,000b.

The increase in price of this new requirement is dependent on individual circumstances, but it is likely to be very substantial in line with the cover increase..

Can someone confirm that the Elite visa has/not the requirement for compulsory health cover ? (Please keep advise about the usefulness of insurance to yourself)

Ok this is a little long winded but hope it makes sense

Visa: Ed Visa

My Condo: Bangkok

tm30: bangkok

Currently: Studying online because school is closed

Location Currently: Koh Samet (Have been for 2 months)

My next visa extension isn't until the 5th of Sept, but my 90-day report is due on the 5th of August. If I can help it I don't really want to go back to Bangkok until I have to which would be around 5th Sept.(and technically if I go now I am breaking the law).

I have tried to do the 90 day reporting online and as no surprise, it isn't working regardless of what browser I use.

What are my options? I potentially have a guy who would go to Bangkok for me (thai) and report my 90days for me.

Could I go and report in Rayong instead of Bangkok? Although my TM30 is registered in Bangkok would that cause a problem?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

My yearly retirement O visa ends next month 29Apr and my 90 day ends 5Apr. Question:a)can I do "both" in CW (usually 90 day I go to muang thong. b) which one should I do first or it doesn't matter. Are there any required changes, or do I need appointment? Sorry for the multiple related questions. Thank you for any reply and advise
