Currently in Thailand on a Tourist visa.

I run a full blown website and meet all the financial requirements... Also made a portfolio presentation to be given to the visa processing consolute..

I am from Canada and dont want to fly back home but would like to fly somewhere and apply for it at a Thai consolute in a neighboring country. I tried going to the Osaka one... but once I got there... they said I had to be a permanent resident.

Where can I go to get this accomplished? Without flying back to Canada.

Also.. im open to the idea of hiring somebody to do the application if need be..

Thank you for your time and consideration.

For Americans that applied for the DTV in the USA, did you have to show a plane ticket and intended place to stay ? The LA consulate lists neither as a requirement and it says you can use the visa whenever you want.

But did they make you show a plane ticket and place to stay in Thailand or no ?

How months of bank statements did they want ?

Because when you apply it says don’t apply more than 3 months before intend stay.

Foreigner with tourist visa, DTV process in India

Hi everyone! I would like to know if anyone with experience can share whether someone staying in India on a tourist visa can apply for a DTV in India.

If you have experience applying for a DTV, how did you manage to obtain the demand draft for 25,000 Rupees for the visa fees? I have inquired at several banks, but they couldn’t issue the demand draft as I don’t have an Indian bank account.

Got mine approved back in August. I gave them an employment contract to do social media management and web content for a business in my home country.

It was very easy and approval was quick at that time.

Dunno if this helps, but this is how it all took place for me...

I applied DTV (eVisa)

Status was 'Peding Document Check' for over 5 weeks!!! 😣😣🤧

Phone reply: Write an email

Email reply: Wait Patiently

😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Finally, I walk-in to the consulate during visa-visiting-hours, on a thursday, this is 5+ weeks after I applied ...

Within 30 seconds they check that all is in order and make it 'Pending Approval'

Three days later (Sunday) 9pm (at night) Approved. 🙂

Then apply for my spouse, Next working day it moves to 'pending approval'. A week or so later, it's Sunday again, and BOOM, 1pm (afternoon) Approved. 🙂

Has anyone applied via E-Visa from USA recently? My friend said they’re asking for IRS tax returns and that it takes months, but not sure if that’s the case. I’d apply through the Los Angeles consulate.

Hi everyone, I’m a business owner in the UK and live in Thailand. I need to apply for the DTV from outside Thailand. I recently moved over 500k from my business account to my personal one, and I’m wondering where the best place to apply is. From what I’ve read, Taipei seems like the best option—can anyone confirm this?

My ED visa expires on October 13th, so I’m short on time. Will a one-month bank statement showing today’s transfer be enough, or should I show a business bank statement with my name and the company details?

If anyone has been in a similar situation, your advice would be appreciated. Do I need to fly there and apply in person, or book an appointment online first? Should I wait to book my return flight to Thailand?

Thanks in advance for any help!

DTV Visa from the Los Angeles Consulate

I am a freelance photographer with a history of visiting Thailand visa exempt and with single-entry tourist visas.

I applied on August 25th for DTV Workcation as a freelance photographer on the evisa website of the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles. I uploaded the following documents, each on signed in blue ink, as a multiple-page PDF:

1. LLC organization document issued by Secretary of State’s office.

2. Tax ID number document issued by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.

3. Company annual report for 2023 certified by the state Secretary of State’s office

4. Portfolio of photographic work in the form of my website

5. Artistic resume listing exhibitions and publications where my work has appeared

6. Letter on company letterhead stating that I am able to take all the time I need to photograph in Thailand.

7. Most recent brokerage statement.

8. Copy of state driver’s license.

9. Recent passport photo.

10. Biodata page from passport.

On September 17th, the Thai consulate requested that I upload a company profile.

On September 18th, I uploaded the company profile as instructed.

On September 19th, I was notified of DTV Visa approval.
