I know there are several steps still left before becoming official, but any updates on visa requirements related to same-sex marriage with a Thai national?

I recently joined and have a question about marriage I hope someone can help me with. If I marry a Thai national would she be recognized by US as my wife and allow for entry to America with me without a visa, and if not would it be difficult to get a visa for her? I am in Thailand presently on a Tourist visa.

I'd like to register my marriage in Thailand (I'm a US citizen married to a Thai national). Is this possible to do with me in the US and my wife in Thailand. Can I authenticate my passport and marriage certificate in the US and mail my wife the documents for her to complete the process in Thailand? Thank you!

Hello, does anyone know or have an experience regarding this: if you're non-Thai and legally married to a Thai national, could your parents come as "family of Thai nationals"? And if they could, what kind of visa would they get and how long they could stay? Thank you in advance.

If you’re going to stay with a Thai National, what kind of invitation letter would be sufficient as proof of accommodation? Looking at no 3 here. I realise an Agoda booking would be considered proof of accommodation after quarantine but there is no mention of how long the accommodation needs to be for.

Experience thus far applying for visa based on marriage to a thai national in CNX

Aug 10-19th - Did all the paper work to obtain the marriage certificate; did not use a visa company, cost about 3000thb

Aug 21 - went to immigration with husband to inquire about visa application. Received 2 sets of blank documents to be filled out, and a check list "List of Douments in case of Thai Family (Thai Wife)" it had the bank requirements crossed out, and my husbands' name in place of "thai wife". I did ask the officer about when I did receive a stamp, what visa would it be and what date would they put, and she told me not to worry about it or anything else, and to just come back monday with all my paperwork. fine by me.

Aug 24 - returned to immigration and had the volunteers look over my paperwork before handing it to the officer at the desk. she looked over all the paperwork and said that my screen print of my online TM 30 was inadequate because the official TM30 slip in my passport had my old address on it. sent me to the next building over to get a new slip put in my passport, and two copies for the visa applications. I was then given a number for the next desk.

My husband and I were called up, and a few documents needed his additional signature. Then we were told to sit down. I was then called up and asked to get 2 copies of my 90 day report slip and my passport page showing my original ED visa (expired july 4). These documents were not on the check list. Then I was called up and told that my photos on my visa extension applications were too old, perhaps because i had a different hair style and colour, or because i had lost weight in the last 6 months; i was asked to go get new ones from the building where they made copies. i went and did this and i handed them new ones, and they asked me if they were the brand new ones (!?) haha i said yes and took off my mask, and they looked to see my shirt was the same, and then they seemed satisfied. my old photos were returned to me, and new applications were filled out by the immigration officer.

Then we were both called into the back office where the officer asked my husband questions about his home and family and work, and filled out some forms he had to sign. there were some additional signatures needed on stamped documents from both of us, and i was asked a few questions about the last time i worked (which was in canada), and my family in canada. The officer then told us that my application was under consideration, and to return on Sept 23rd. I received a stamp that said thus, and was also told that in the next two weeks an officer would come by the house to confirm the information in the application.

so now I wait, still unsure which visa i'm getting haha but it doesn't matter; I'll report back with the results, hopefully with an approval stamp!
