Today lawyer told me that’s huge problem with dtv visa and people are waiting 2 months, is it true? Anyone have experience with that?
Answer summary
The original question inquired about alleged delays in processing the DTV visa, specifically claims of two-month wait times. Comments included a variety of experiences, with some asserting there are indeed complications, while others dismissed these claims as rumors. The conversation also diverged into discussions about other immigration issues and experiences related to applying for visas, along with commentary on the general immigration sentiment and procedures.

More than 10 people laughing at this very normal question. 100 comments of misogynist racists. The funny part is that these misogynist racists are foreigners staying in thailand believing to be a sort of 'world's elite' while being just broke in their home country 😂

Get the document properly translated by a certified. When I was younger, I had my application rejected for minor errors that are not up to code.

I have done this twice but quite a few years ago. They can submit any evidence they feel relevent. You aim to prove that you know them and that they can afford their visit and most importantly they will return home. So sponsor letter from their employer saying their job will stat open on return. bank statements supporting letters showing you can afford it and character witness to show you are not a traffcer. Photos of your home showing you can accomodate them. If they are relatives and you can give reasonable evidence they will return you will normally be sucsessful. Dont employ an agent. Esspecially a thai one. They will mess it up. The application isnt that difficult. Work on the evidence. Its surprising what you will come up with. If sucessful a second visit within 5 years is easier.

Mostly about guarantors. ??

If you can prove they can stay with you,

And have return tickets.

Should be ok.

It’s only a month.

Surprised they just can’t come in as holiday makers.

If you gift them tickets and enough to live on?

Are you over thinking?

Long winded process and bottom line is you need money, you’ll need to do an invitation letter, you need to show proof of accommodation for them, who owns the accommodation, so if rented you’ll need proof your landlord is allowing it, of you own a house you will need your mortgage info deed etc, if hotel you would need to show pre paid hotel and all the details of the hotel and booking, who is funding that, how much it will cost to sponsor them for the period of time, show wage slips or bank statements showing you have the find to sponsor them and why you will be sponsoring them, you will need proof of your relationship with them, so you would need to make documents showing your relationship with your partner and their parents , any time you’ve met your partners parents, video calls, messages, photos together in person, proof they’re leaving the uk after they’re invited stay and before they’re visa ends, and a whole bunch of other stuff, good luck

When I did it with my partner (both of us on AUS passport) and his mother (who is on Thai passport)

Need to have a letter from someone in UK saying they are welcomed to stay at their place during their visit

Travel Insurance to cover atleast 30k euros (as we also did European visit and this insurance can cover any mainland visits as long as you apply for visa)

Proof of money to cover the trip

Proof or reason to go back to Thailand (house documents, family, return ticket, etc to prove they will go home)

Also best to apply at embassy in BKK and she would go there and can answer any questions directly but you have to book from memory.

Remind mother (as we didn’t with ours) limit on check in bags and they do have washing machines overseas…lol

Chris Chopwell if you vote for them, based on that you don't like foreigners in your country, then don't go abroad. Simple. And if you say I'm not Swedish cos I'm not white, but adopted, then do us all a favour and fck off out of my native country. 🤔🤬

Don't do it. They would want their daughter to come back to Thailand after they see that England is a shitshow. The whites are uneducated and totally dominated by the barbarians that they once conquered. This led to high poverty, bad food, and daily crimes. It is better that they have the image that England is a respectable place to live.

I did it for my wife's mother and her best mate. Pretty easy to do, go on the uk government web site, gives you the list what you need. From memory, statements, assets, ie houses car, letter from you inviting them, proof they can support themselves, if there working letter giving time off, your info, proof you own the house. if there staying with you util bills statements etc. I think mine was easy due to her best mate cashed up owns property, the mother in law ex teacher so on a pension. I think what there looking for is a reason to come back Thailand. If they assets or a job makes it easy.
