I received my e-Visa by email, but scanning its QR code with my phone does not display any information. Is this expected, or is any action needed?
Answer summary
The behavior you're experiencing with your Thai e-Visa QR code is expected. The QR code is primarily for internal use by Thai Immigration and does not display any information when scanned; it contains a reference number linking to your immigration data, but no actual personal data is embedded in the code itself.

Look at your print out - Under the QR code mine has a 30 character alphanumeric string. Like the picture below (not mine from the internet). That string is all the QR code contains. It is the link to your immigration data but no data is on the QR it is just a reference number and on it's own useless. The QR has no secrets is just an easy way for them to enter the number.
