💰💰 Hey everyone! Based on your experience, does a time deposit account count as a liquid asset for visa applications? 🤔💳

I am a Japanese applicant currently in the process of applying for the Muay Thai Workation Visa.

There is an issue with the financial requirement: for the proof of 500,000 THB in funds, I submitted three documents showing my liquid assets held in a securities account (for the past 6 months, 3 months, and current balance), since I hold most of my assets in a securities account rather than a bank account.

However, I was asked again to submit a bank statement showing the 3-month average balance.

Are there any members here who have successfully used proof of liquid assets in a securities account instead of a traditional bank statement?

Also, I have heard that recently many Muay Thai Workation Visa applications are being rejected — do we know how many applicants have been approved recently?

I’m a bit confused as far as what type of accounts the “liquid” assets need to be in. Most of my money is an Individual brokerage account with Schwab which I can easily access and transfer from same day as long as it’s not a weekend. Do I need to make sure I have the 500k in a checking or savings account with my bank instead or should this be fine?

I understand gold can be used as proof of funds as it is a liquid asset

But how do you show this in an application for the DTV?

Cheers

Hi!

I have a question about the 500,000 THB bank balance requirement for DTV visa.

The money is in a liquid savings/fixed deposit that appears on my main bank account statement.

Does that count, or does it have to be in a regular current/checking account?

Thank you!

Looking to apply for DTV visa for me and my wife and I have a couple of questions. 🙏🏽

Do I apply myself and then she would be the sponsor ? We are married legally in America. Or do we need to apply seperately ?

Do I need to have the 500,000 baht in both of our bank accounts when applying ?

Can the 500,000 Baht be proven by crypto ?

I currently have all my money in XRP on an exchange (in my name) and I do not wanna miss this pump to apply. 😂

Thank you in advance for any of your responses.

Hello, apologies if this question has already been answered, but I searched the group history and did not see anything relevant.

Will an IRA account + balance suffice for financial evidence of sufficient funds or does this need to be stored in account that is considered more liquid?

Do Tax Free Savings Account (Canada) work to show as proof of funds? In my bank statements it is under "investments", but in fact I can withdraw money from it.
