Quick question about the bank account statements and so on, as i want to get this done in the first try:

I am a US citizen applying in Ho Chi Minh and I have been a self employed business consultant for over 5 years.

What specific documents do i need that have been working the best for others in the group? (Ex: EIN, State corporation LLC paperwork, client contracts, etc)

Then in regards to banking:

Is it okay to use 6 my personal statements from different personal accounts or does it need to all be from one bank?

Also could i use the business bank account statements in place of my own?

Much appreciated 🙏

Under freelance self employed dtv, has anyone tried putting in trading your own stock portfolio for income as a freelance digital nomad skill?

Was it accepted?

Hello, I need advice or feedback regarding the DTV Visa with families.

Has anyone applied for this visa while “including” family members? Let me explain: my partner (we’re not married) and I are both self-employed, and we would like to move to Thailand with our two-year-old daughter next year. After spending more than seven months here during different trips, we are sure of our decision.

Now, we’re considering possibly hiring an immigration agent for some guidance, but I would also love to hear feedback from this community. Do you think the DTV is the simplest and most suitable option for our case? Since we are not married, would that be an issue for being on the same visa?

Does our daughter need an education visa if she attends school there, or can we simply include her on our visa? I am aware that this visa is very recent, and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

My application got approved after three weeks of applying, I applied in Munich Germany , as self employed portfolio manager and Author, submitted documents: professional portfolio, approve of address ( they requested National ID for that as in German ID your home address is written in back of the ID card) ,

Official portfolio PDF document from my Broker showing my holdings (worth around 7 million Thai B ), a photo and a copy of my passport. After submitting in two weeks they requested Business registration (Gewerbeanmeldung) I replied with an official letter that I don’t have a business registration in Germany and explained my work nature that doesn’t require a formal business registration and as how flexible it is that perfectly fit for a digital nomad , as alternatives for the business registration I submitted my income reports since I started managing my portfolio and my tax return reports showing that im paying taxes and I am legit regarding my income and my Tax record.

After my application experience I believe that it really depends on the consulate where you are applying and their flexibility. Not all are for 100% the same.

DTV ~ via European 🇪🇺 capital

Hi everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience with the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) application process, which I recently and positively completed. I submitted my application at a Thailand consulate in Europe as a self-employed remote worker. My professional setup is as an individual operating with a European VAT number associated with my activities, rather than through a formal LLC or company structure. To ensure all documentation was in order from the get go, I had my VAT registration officially translated into English and apostilled, which helped avoid any potential delays or issues.

As part of the application, one of the key requirements is to demonstrate financial stability by providing proof of savings. I needed to show that I had 500,000 Thai Baht in savings. To meet this requirement, and showcase financial stability, I provided bank statements covering the three months prior to my application, demonstrating that the necessary funds were consistently available during that period.

The application process itself began around September 10th. Shortly after submitting my initial documents, I received an email from the consulate requesting additional details, specifically a portfolio of my work. In response, I provided a selection of invoices I had issued to some of my clients to substantiate my professional activities. Following a brief waiting period, I was notified that my application was successfully completed this week.

Overall, the process was straightforward, and I hope that by sharing my experience, it may assist others who are considering applying for the DTV or navigating similar requirements.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further advice!

Guys need some guidance in getting DTV approved. I have the documents ready to submit as self employed. Need some gudiance on

1. Which neighbouring country of Thailand have smoothest and fastest approval process

2. How can I apply and submit the documents to them?

3. Do I need to be that respective country during the process?

4. What’s the estimated time from application to approval.

Would love to hear from you guys, thanks
