Hello, I’m a German citizen working as self employed since a few years.  I’m currently in Indonesia but planning to apply for a DTV and spend a few months in Thailand working from there and also spending time exploring.

I have to leave Indonesia in two weeks so wondering if it’s enough time to apply for a Thailand visa (online) ahead of my travels end of August. Do you think I need to plan more buffer time?

Now is there any freelancers who were from Europe and can tell me what documents were provided to support you case as a freelance or remote worker ?

Invoices? Tax declarations? Documents proving you are currently registered as self employed ? Websites or contacts of older work?

Plan in more time. Invoices, matching bank statements, written letter from your employer/client, tax declaration, instant-access savings account balance for the required amount (3+ months), and a cover letter describing what you do and for whom, and that you understand that you cannot and will not work for Thai clients, etc. I have written down my experiences a couple of days ago in this group a bit more detailed, look it up. Hi ! If I were you, I'll do a 60 days visa in Indonesia.  And apply the first day I arrived in Jakarta, double check your docs (or ask for dtv-thailand.com to do it for you). No need an agent to do it. I got mine in 6 days in Jakarta

Yes, you should allow longer than 2 weeks as Jakarta is not processing as fast as it used to. In addition to the docs you mentioned you need a statement detailing you will not work with Thai Clients/businesses and that you can work remotely in Thailand. There are posts with checklists of all docs needed in the threads.
