Just an update as it might help others with current timelines when applying to London.

My son's DTV has just come through from London - application steps and dates below as it may help others with current timelines when applying to London. 

1. DTV was applied for on Monday 5th Oct

2. Additional Information requested (& uploaded) on Tuesday 6th

3. Moved to "Pending Approval" on Friday 9th afternoon

4. DTV approved on Sunday 11th

So less than 1 week from submission of application to approval.

The APCO criminal record check took 1 month to come through.... applied for on 28th August, received in post on 28th Sept.

When is his intended travel date and when does he start training at the gym?

I made my application on Thursday and got a request for additional documents today, my intended travel date is around mid December so wondering if it's irrelevant and they could approve soon even if intended travel date is months away

Applied throught the Soft Power route (Muay Thai) - with the exception of the gym-related documents, everything was done by ourselves.

No agent is necessary for applying DTV, when you thoroughly read the Embassy site, and use the manual in top right corner of the page where you apply.
