I have a question regarding re-entry permits. How "fixed" is the return date? I may have to travel to Europe soon for family reasons and I'm unsure as to how long I will be staying. If I fill in a certain return date, but then end up travelling back earlier/later, will I have any issues at immigration upon arrival? Thank you very much for your replies!

This back and forth with the London embassy for this DTV is hard work… they just asked me to provide a e-ticket for future date if possible? So confused. I’ve just put my flight details for the 7th January, I have booked a return flight home yet. I have added my coach’s work permit which isn’t an issue it’s just this other one is the confusion, anyone know what they want ?

Once the DTV is approved, is it effective immediately? I'm wondering if I will be able to go to Thailand before the "arrival date" I picked in the application.

Noticed a pattern in speed of application processing (at least in London), it appears applications with the earliest travel dates are prioritised.

I put a place holder date for when I want to travel to Thailand when filling out my DTV. Will I have to go during the date I provided or can I change the dates to different days?

Hi everyone, I need some advice about the Thai visa.

I applied for a visa back in August ( in Paris ) but my trip is only from December 13 (I already included my flight ticket and hotel bookings for those dates in my application).

Since the application was made more than 3 months before my trip, I’m worried that if the visa is approved, it will start from the date of approval and may not cover my travel period in December.

Has anyone experienced this situation? Do they issue the visa starting from the approval date, or do they take into account the travel dates shown in the application?

Coordinating Document Validity with travel dates.

Apologies if this is answered somewhere here. I did search but did not find. As a US citizen, the OA application wants:

A health certification stating no prohibiting disease on an official form not greater than 90 days.

A clean criminal history record not greater than 90 days.

Are these associated with your date of travel, or your issue date?

Say I have both documents generated today, and I apply for the OA visa a month from now. and am approved in 15 days. Do i need to travel before those documents expire, or do I have a set expiration based on issue date? "Must travel within XX days"?

Asking because I had my last Dr appointment with My PMD today, and he was nice enough to complete the health form, but now I am not sure if it will work for a travel date in early December.

Hello super group, i submitted my visa application last tuesday in Hanoi under the category of freelancer and it has been since on “Pending approval”…since i didn’t know wether they would give it to me or not, i decided to stay 3 months in VN before re-entering Thailand, so i asked the DTV to start in may, in more than 2 months…would it be the reason nothing seems to move ? Anyone has been in my situation ? You need to ask for the visa at maximum 3 months before you start to use it so i thought i was in my right to do so…thanks for your thoughts on that !

When you apply for DTV you give ur flight details. If the visa is accepted but I need to fly on a different date is this ok? How long after approval do you need to fly
