What's a TDAC

Hello guys, I'm planning to apply to the DTV. I'm traveling to Hanoi in 9 days (and discovered that I need a visa to Vietnam, didn't expect Canadians need a visa). I just started my online personal brand and I don't have good income from it yet to showcase payment slips or something. I do have the fund in my bank account and I have some money in crypto. Do you think it's better to sell myself as a crypto trader (and I'm not a trader, I just invest in crypto) or an online business owner as also I have a company in the UAE and I have all the official documents. Please advise.

Relieved to report I got my soft power DTV through from HCMC yesterday finally. Application submitted 24th April, pending approval 25th April, approved 10th May.

3 points of note from my experience:

Hanoi seems to be much quicker at processing the applications within Vietnam at the moment if you are considering an application in the country.

HCMC approved my application on a Saturday evening - this is the first report I have seen of "out of hours" approvals from this embassy.

I had an active METV in place at the point of approval of my DTV. A caveat to this is that I got a new passport in between the METV and DTV being granted.

This group has been invaluable to me so hopefully this information helps someone else.

I have a question. Maybe it’s dumb and obvious lol but I’ve tried to search with no solid answer. Once a DTV visa is approved do you have to arrive within a certain time period? I want to apply but not ready to go yet because I want to return to Hanoi for a few months in July before going to Thailand.

I believe that not all immigration offices do all services, but I can't find whether there are only specific ones that do 90 day reporting or not. I'm in Silom - does anyone know which is the best office for me to visit for 90 day reporting? Thanks a lot!

How do you submit multiple documents in employment and financial proof sections? The Evisa site in the U.S. only allows for one file per section.

My DTV has been pending approval for 15 days now, and my flight to Thailand is on may 15. If I don’t get approved until I’m in the country would all I have to do to update my status to the immigration office once I receive my visa?
