* Rang for an update a week later, the embassy staff were very helpful, and gave me a timeframe of 10 days to 1 month for approval (told me to email them a few business days before my flight if the status hadn't changed)
* Changed to pending approval on 30th October
* Approved on 5th November, no request for further documents
For context, I have a flight booked to arrive in Thailand on 18th November.
What documents I provided:
For proof of location:
* Cover page with the title of document and my contact details
* Plain letterhead from myself explaining some variation in information

* Letter in my name sent to the residential address I provided
For financial proof:
* Proof of Balance confirmation from my bank
For proof of work:
For this I made a multiple page pdf document including

ilovepdf is a life-saver when it comes to compressing large pdf documents while still keeping a good quality.
Would also recommend making sure that any scans of physical documents are very good quality.
Make sure all names and addresses match across all documents - if there are any variations (even small ones), include letters/clarification statements to explain.
💡 DTV Visa Tip: How to Prepare Financial Proof the Smart Way
Just want to share a quick trick from my experience helping clients apply for DTV visa.
Even though the rule allows you to combine multiple bank accounts to reach 500,000 THB balance — from my experience, putting all the funds into one single bank account gives you a much higher chance of getting approved.
Why? Because imagine you’re the officer reviewing your application online.
When they open your documents,
what do they want to see?
✅ A clear, simple statement that says
“Here’s the account, and here’s
the ending balance over 500,000 THB.”
That’s it.
No confusion, no extra matching between different accounts, and no unnecessary
questions like “where did this money come from?”
A few quick notes:
🚫 Don’t include crypto, digital assets, or e-wallet balances — they don’t count as financial proof.
💳 If you show multiple accounts, it usually takes them longer to review, and sometimes raises doubts even when you meet the requirement.
So if you want to make the process smoother keep it simple, keep it clear, and keep it in
Hello everyone, does someone have any experiences with a Confirmation review of the pension notice by German embassy in Bangkok if someone wants to use a combination of his pension and his Thai Bank balance ( the sum 800 000 Baht in a year) as Proof of finances for a non immigrant O retirement visa extension at a immigration office? The non O , 90 day visa stamp is already in the passport while entered Thailand at Suvanabhumi airport.
Should the pension letter be in English language or Thai or it is enough in German language but approved by the embassy?
Thank you for any advice coming from people who really knows the matter and not just talking.
I’m applying for a DTV Workcation visa in Hanoi, where I’m currently located, as a U.S. business owner.
I have all my documents ready: bank statements (USD 17,000 savings, weekly USD 1,000 transfers), tax returns, self-employment letter, and hotel confirmation.
I’m confused about the apostille for my business registration. The embassy says it proves my business’s legitimacy, but it takes 1-2 weeks to get from Utah. Some say Hanoi might accept a non-apostilled certified copy if financial proof is strong.
Has anyone applied for the Workcation DTV as a business owner in Hanoi? Did you need the apostille, or was a certified business registration enough? Any tips? Thanks!
A friend of mine has been married to a thai lady for 2 years now, when he comes to visit he's been coming on visa exempt entry.
He's applying for a Non O visa 90 days, he can prove the 65k a month income, as he still works he's only 50 years old. He's worried that the money coming into his bank account is wages not any kind of pension, would the uk thai embassy knock him back for a visa, as when he's here there's no money going into his account. As they would see from bank statement it's money from a employer.
Hello , we have a question , hopefully someone can help us with the right answer . The case is : Via our Embassy we can apply for the Non O visa , one of the requirements financial is the proof of income 65.000 THB . Our visa consultant tells us that enough to show them .
Asume everything is accepted, we are now entering Thailand , will they accept us on the same proof of income ? Or will they demand to have the 800.000 THB on our just opened Thaibank account to get our one year extension ? I could nowhere find a satisfying answer 🤔
I want to prevent that I don’t have access to my money , I’d rather invest it in Bitcoin .
