I just received an email for requested documents for my DTV application, but I don't know what to submit. Even tho I submitted most of supported documents in the original application.

Here is the list of requested documents:

1. A copy of the company's registration/business license along with GST registration

I do not have a registered business. I work as a freelancer with independant monthly contracts. What documents should I submit here? Can I submit my client's LLC? What else should I submit to support my case?

2. Flight details and Hotel accommodation

I had submitted the flight number (no tickets) & agoda hotel bookings. Do I need to book a flight now and submit the ticket itself?

My hotel bookings were booked on 'pay later/free cancellation' option. And they have expired, do i need to rebook or should i just submit the pdf that was submitted in the original application?

3. A foreign employment contract or employment certificate

I do not have a employee certificate, although I do have a few client's contracts. I was also advised to add a letter head and stamp of your name at the top of the contract. What do you suggest?

4. Copies of all pages of the passport

I can submit these.

PS. I am applying at the Mumbai's thai consular in India. From other's experience, they tend to look for strong proof of regular employment and if one can sustain themselves in thailand.

I am very grateful for this group and the people in this community helping each other out . Thank you so much to everybody! All respectful opinions are appreciated!

I did some research to figure out what paperwork I need to submit in my case. If anyone applied on the same grounds,

could you let me know if this is the right paperwork..?

I have an LLP registered in the UK, I'm the only "person with significant control", working remotely for another EU based company. Came up with this list of documents that I'd have to submit;

Core Visa Items

* Passport bio page (valid ≥ 6 months).

* Recent passport photo.

* Proof of current location in the country of application (entry stamp, visa, hotel/lease, etc.).

* Visa fee payment receipt/confirmation.

Employment Proof (foreign employer)

* Employment Contract (with remote-work clause, signed by Designated Member(me) + Employee(me)).

* Employment Certificate (one-page HR-style letter on LLP letterhead, confirming role, start date, salary, remote work incl. Thailand, and no Thai employment).

* Letter of Intent (personal statement to embassy: purpose of stay, funds, compliance).

Financial Proof

* Personal bank statements (≥ 3 months) showing ending balance ≥ 500,000 THB.

* Bank statements showing transfers from LLP account to personal account (salary trail, ideally 3 months).

Optional

* Companies House Certificate of Incorporation + Current Appointments Report (tying your name to the LLP).

* Client contract or invoices proving LLP’s business activity

So when applying as a business owner, is that pretty much the whole documentation you need to submit? Am I missing anything?

Thailand DTV Visa – Ho Chi Minh Consulate – Approved

I’d like to thank this group for all the incredibly useful information shared. Here are some details about my own application, and I hope they can help more people.

Nationality: China (Not many Chinese applicants have shared their experience here)

Embassy: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Category: Remote Work (DTV)

Timeline:

Submitted: Monday, July 21

Processing Pending Approval: Tuesday, July 22 (No additional documents requested)

Visa Granted: Wednesday, July 30

📄 Documents Submitted:

Location Files (21 pages)

- Cover letter explaining my current accommodation (hotel name and address) + list of all documents included

- Agoda hotel confirmation

💡 Tips:

Since the visa officer cannot meet you in person, you need to carefully consider what information they might need. Think from their perspective — not just what you have or what you think is important, but what they might require to approve your case.

One small strategy I used: I didn’t apply right after arriving in Vietnam. Instead, I waited almost a month before submitting my application to avoid giving the impression that I came to Vietnam specifically for the DTV visa.

I reviewed every shared post in this group and spent 10 days preparing over 90 pages of documents. The preparation and the wait were intense and exhausting — but I did it. Regardless of whether it was worth it or not, I made it through.

I hope all of you have good luck in your journey!

Working remote as a meeting booker, does it meet the requirements for the DTV?

I’m currently on a t60 visa (Swedish citizen), is it obligatory to apply for the DTV outside Thailand?

Do I need to visit a embassy to apply through or is it possible via the e-visa?

Bank statements, will they check with the bank or just be satisfied with the proof I declare to them?

Appreciate the help 🙏

I have a rookie , dumb question.

How do you submit multiple documents in employment and financial proof sections? The Evisa site in the U.S. only allows for one file per section.

Thanks

Sharing my DTV approval for HCMC soft power cooking.

Fri Jan 31.

Applied with passport pic, copy of passport biometric page, cooking documents provided by Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy, entry stamp into HCMC, VN hotel booking and 3 months of bank statement over 500k.

Feb 5.

Further documentations requested. They wanted 6 months of bank statements, employment certificate and income proof.

On the application I wrote that I was unemployed, as I quit my job recently. I gave them my tax return, a couple of pay slips and an end of service letter that my HR provided me when I left. I wrote a short letter explaining I currently do not have a job as I moved to Thailand recently and taking a career break (I have been living here for a month on a tourist exempt visa).

Feb 10.

Further documentations requested. They wanted more information on the school.

I emailed the school who helped me with some pictures. I took screenshots of their website and resubmitted all documentations that I had already given them (receipt, cooking timetable, acceptance letter, business registration, director ID).

Feb 17.

Approved.

Flew back to Thailand today with a print out of my dtv into Bangkok. No issues.

I did extensive research in this group before my application so I was quite surprised being asked for extra documents twice. I think the HCMC embassy is starting to get more critical on soft power and the process took 2 weeks for me because I had to supply more documents.

The Bangkok Cooking Academy was very helpful with my application, I recommend them.

Starting to see posts about tax returns being requested as an additional document - I’ve been traveling so don’t have a tax return - any advice?

I'm a German national without permanent residency and want to apply for a DTV through their website.

The only thing that I worry about is the last part "Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status."

I have a US LLC through which I sell online coaching and writing services.

What would be best to supply there? I have:

* proof that the US LLC is registered in my name

* past invoices from clients

* I could write a certificate in the name of the company to prove I can work remotely

* a website that's currently offline but would be easy to set to live

Anything else I could/should include?

Thanks!
