My DTV has been pending approval for 15 days now, and my flight to Thailand is on may 15. If I don’t get approved until I’m in the country would all I have to do to update my status to the immigration office once I receive my visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their DTV visa application, which has been pending for 15 days ahead of their flight to Thailand on May 15. Community members clarify that a visa cannot be activated inside Thailand, and advise that the user must leave the country to activate the visa upon approval. They also discuss potential delays due to recent holidays, emphasizing the importance of business days in the application process.
Monday is a holiday; you may need to stay longer until your DTV visa is approved. When you enter Thailand, the Embassy will be notified. You could schedule the interview for the following day or request a photo and receipt from your current location.
When they enter Thailand, the immigration system will indicate that the applicant is awaiting approval (because you can't see their system). Immediately, the system will notify the embassy that the applicant has entered Thailand.
no, that’s completely false. They use a completely different database and local embassies are not informed when someone enters Thailand. You are talking nonsense
the The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration department are separate entities and do not share a database. I know people working in both departments. You are just making up rubbish off the top
"Days" isn't what matters. It's business days. Last Monday was a Thai holiday. Friday was a Thai holiday. This Monday is a Thai holiday. None of those count as business days, nor do weekends.
