If you had the required amount of baht in your Thai bank account but you opened it on a tourist visa, & your account has been frozen. Could you still apply for a retirement visa 🤔. The proof of funds will be there for immigration to see. TIA

Hi DTV Group. My wife and I received our DTV visa 4 months ago. As we all know, the DTV Visa is not a typical tourist visa, as it allows us to stay in the country for up to 180 days before undergoing a visa run, and 90-day check-ins with immigration. My question is, for those of us who spend six months in Thailand before doing a Visa run, what kind of medical insurance is suitable for someone living in Thailand with a DTV Visa?

Can go to Lao Golden Triangle for 2nd time visa jump? I am not planning to sleep there. First time also back in the same day.

I wanted to apply for Japan tourist visa in Thailand, according to Japan embassy they said I need to have long term. Is DTV considered Long term? I already asked them via email but their answer is just „If you have Thai long-term visa and re-entry, you reach visa application regulation. please visit

3) My partner (same sex) has a job offer in Thailand and we’re discussing if she can write a sponsorship letter instead of showing funds. Any experience on this?

About to apply for a non o based on marriage. Have not had enough funds in the bank untill now to do so ( just received an inheritance). How long does money need to have been in the bank for the non o 90 day to be approved.? I know they want three months statements The balance now is very heathly but for the previous three months was below the required funds.?

How has everyones experience been applying for the DTV extension? I need to go this week and I'm feeling a little nervous. This would be my first time extending. Any tips are appreciated.
