Several users discussed affordable flight options for resetting the DTV (Daily Visa Type) from Pattaya. Key suggestions included Phu Quoc in Vietnam as the lowest cost option at around 4000 baht for round-trip flights, as well as other destinations like Kuala Lumpur and various cities in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Myanmar. Some commenters suggested checking prices with airlines like Thai VietJet Air and VietJet Air, and also considering land borders for quicker visa resets.
Details: Flights land at the new Techo International Airport (KTI).
2. Vietnam (Best Value Alternative)
Price: ~4,060 THB
Route: Bangkok (BKK) to Da Nang (DAD)
Airline: VietJet Air
Note: Surprisingly, flying to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) is currently more expensive for next week (starting around 4,665 THB), so Da Nang is the better budget choice right now.
3. Myanmar
Price: ~5,745 THB
Route: Bangkok (DMK) to Yangon (RGN)
Airline: Thai AirAsia
4. Laos
Price: ~6,040 THB
Route: Bangkok (DMK) to Luang Prabang (LPQ)
Airline: Thai AirAsia
Note: Vientiane is unusually expensive for next week (approx. 8,000+ THB), so Luang Prabang is actually the cheaper entry point.
Phu Quoc Vietnam was the lowest cost option for me. The island has special visa free entries. Round-trip flight was around 4000 baht. Hotels were super cheap too. Had some delicious food and Made a weekend out of it.
It's actually the most sensible reply, even if you think it's unhelpful. It varies with date, etc., so only the individual can really make an assessment. I didn't read Ben's reply as anything other than logical.
