I'm looking for some advice regarding the limit to 2 entries a year using the 60 day visa exemption.
My partner has already been to Thailand twice this year plus an entry on the 1st December last year with a 30 day extension. Will he be denied entry?
If so, is it possible to get a 60 day visa by next Sunday if we apply straight away?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about the entry limits for the 60-day visa exemption to Thailand. Their partner has already entered Thailand twice this year and once in December of the previous year. Responses clarify that there isn't a strict limit of two entries in a year but that frequent entries may raise questions from immigration officers. There are also concerns about obtaining a 60-day visa on short notice, with suggestions that it may be challenging to receive a visa approval within five working days.
You've nothing to worry about, you'll get your visa exemption stamp no problem ๐

You will be very lucky to get a visa in 5 working days ( they dont work weekends). You can obviously try? Your partner could possibly be questioned to see if he is a genuine tourist after spending recent time in thailand. If you are flying into pocket for example they are looking at checking people who have had 2 vusa exempt entries with extensions asking what their internery is, if they have return ticket, if they have accommodation to cover there trip etc. So if you dont want to chance it ( they could get in with no questions!!!) Get a fast track

There is no limit of 2 entries in one year. The limit is on visa runs and extensions .
People are refused entry all the time, but there are no formal guidelines that limit travellers to only two exempt entries per year. Everything is subject to the discretion of the immigration officer and the total amount of time you have previously spent in Thailand. There are reports of individuals being admitted for a third and even fourth time this week without any questions.
YES it appears that your partner may be questioned by Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival into Thailand. As he has ALREADY been admitted as Visa Exempt Entry in 2025.
