Approved! Applied online with the embassy in Ottawa, Canada. It took one week. Self-employed remote worker and volunteer director of a small online non-profit. I provided a cover letter explaining my income stream and what I do, as well as letters from 2 clients and 1 colleague confirming we meet exclusively on Zoom, and 6 months of bank statements with client etransfers. They asked for further documentation including tax info for my company and a website or youtube channel where I promote my services.

I got lots of ideas from this group about what to provide. So just paying it forward here. Happy to answer any questions.

Hello,

After several trips earlier this year and my return to Thailand with a DTV visa, I have now spent over 6 months in the country, including 2 months with the DTV visa. I would like to know where I should register as a tax resident in Bangkok. Immigration? Online? Local Revenue Department office?

Thank you.

A Muay Thai (soft power) DTV applicant here. My question is, some people claim that I can show the bank statement of my father, some people say it has to be my personal account, family account is not accepted. I read a few posts about people bringing a sponsorship letter from their parents and use their statements for the visa. What was your experience? Did any of you accepted this way?

TM30 Question.

So I recently returned from Thailand after saying a couple of months at a friends. I had no idea about the TM30 at the time and only been reading up on it now.

I know one wouldn't have been filed for me for my 2 month stay. And I will plan to return in a few months, can this cause any issues for me? Or just a genuine mistake.

Obviously I now know better this time around.

Mornin' all,

I've got a re-entry (single) permit. Do I need to show this to the Immigration Officer and get it stamped when leaving Suvarnabhumi Airport for the UK later in the month? Or is the re-entry permit stamped upon arrival back in Thailand?

Thanks very much to all for your help and the advice.

What documents should I check from a Muay Thai gym before I pay them the full fee for a 6-month membership, eg biz registration?

Hello all. I recently read that if one holds an O or OA visa and travels outside of Thailand within the first year of its validity the visa is automatically renewed for another year from the date of the return. I have had several trips outside of Thailand during my first year as an O Visa with multiple entries holder. I just don't see how this is possible and hence my confusion . Also does this apparent extension occur upon every trip? I plan to return from the UK on April 1 and my current O Visa expires on May 28th. Surely it's not automatically extended upon my return to April 1 2026. I read about this auto renewal in a recent post. Thanks,Glyn

With regard to the non o visa extension and the evidence required for a bank balance in excess of thb 800,000 for more than 60 days prior, is an updated bank book sufficient or does one need a full printed bank statement? Thank you.
