TLDR : Answer Summary
A user successfully applied for a DTV visa from Hanoi by providing a cover letter that explained their new business and included their work portfolio as proof of income. Despite hearing concerns about rejection, their application was accepted within 6 days. Follow-up comments emphasized the importance of printing the visa approval email and potential questions about bank account requirements and portfolio formats.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight βοΈ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
Yes airline staff...very serious. They want to see the Thai Visa you have and possibly a return ticket or ticket departing Thailand within the number of days you are stamped in for on arrival into Thailand.
never in 30 plus years have I heard this or experienced it only if I travel to say Russia - Thailand I think unless you are from a non visa country maybe but I donβt think you are correct and seems very highly unlikely. I mean you rarely if ever see any airline staff except at the gate. So wonder where you experienced this. Very strange and very unlikely
