TLDR : Answer Summary
DTV visa holders do not need a re-entry visa when returning to Thailand, as the DTV is a multiple entry visa allowing holders to enter and exit Thailand freely, subject to a maximum stay of 180 days per exit. When leaving, the visa stamp does expire, but a new stamp is issued upon re-entry.

Nope. The DTV is a multiple entry visa, come and go as you want subject to the 180 day maximum

No, your stamp expires when you leave and you get a new stamp when you enter.

Re-entry permits are for long term visas.
