I’m currently in Thailand on a 60-day entry permit and planning to apply for the DTV visa soon. I have a quick question I hope someone here can help me with:

Do the required 500,000 THB (~13,000 EUR) need to be in my bank account continuously for 3 months, or is it sufficient to show a current bank statement with that amount and a history of regular activity (e.g., salary payments, transactions)?

I’m a bit unsure about the exact requirement and would really appreciate your input.

Also open to using a visa service if anyone has good recommendations! 😊

We're considering the DTV or education visa. Or tourist re entry and would love some advice.

My partner works remotely as well as in person in Australia

We have a 2.5yo and I don't "work".

Together 15 years but not married.

We have a 12 month lease, have brought a car and bike, have a tm30 and letter from immigration proving our residence (needed it to buy the car in our name)

A couple of questions:

- For sponsorship is defacto relationships considered or need to be married?

- if he will be flying too and from australia every month or so for work will tourist re-entry suffice or is that limited to number of times per year

- will coming too and from be an issue if he does receive the dtv visa?

We have someone in thailand helping us recommending education visa for myself and my daughter and dtv for him but would love others experiences.

Hi everyone, has anyone had experience shipping boxes (moving from Australia to Bangkok) to Thailand on a DTV visa? I'm looking to ship a couple of boxes of personal items e.g. books, clothes, home items etc but wondering if this was feasible given that the DTV is a tourist visa and I'm not sure whether it can be cleared through Thai customs.

How long do I need to be gone from thailand after the 180 days (+ 180 days extension) before I can return again?

I spoke with the Thai embassy near me and am quite confident I qualify for the DTV. It says multiple visits over 5 years and I'm curious how long you need to leave Thailand after the 360 days before returning.

Has anyone heard or DTV holders being interrogated upon re entry at Suvarnabhumi international airport, being asked to show 20k baht in cash, etc., or all smooth reentry stories? It will be my fourth entry on DTV and I know visa waiver folks are getting a lot of trouble with repeat entries - haven't heard stories like that of DTV holders yet, but wondering if anyone has. Just entered on a 60 day visa-on-arrival at DMK after spending 4 days in Taiwan. Previously had been in Thailand for a year on a education visa. Was lightly questioned for a minute about school and if I would study more or not, but seems no problem entering again after leaving for a few days. Never usually post here, but I saw a lot of people complain and share rejection stories about visa-on-arrival, specifically at DMK. Possibly its because they tried to do multiple visa-on-arrival back-to-back.

I will be overwintering in the Chaiyaphum area with a 6 month METV.

Would anyone happen to know if there is an office in Chaiyaphum where I will be able to get a 30 day extension after the 1st 60 days?

I am just trying to avoid doing 2 border runs.
