I am renewing my marriage visa. What is the time period for the bank statement relative to my visa appointment? does it have to be the same day? within 24 hours? or can it be a few days in advance? Thx.

Hi everyone,

I have two questions regarding the bank statements:

- Translation: Saw that most people translated their own bank statements. I am in touch with a cooking school and they said to have the statements translated by a certified translation agency (I know that it is recommended on the website of the Thai embassy). As it's rather expensive, I thought of going the route like most people - translating myself. What is the overall recommendation?

- Date: How recent should the statements be? I read 7 days and elsewhere 3 days...

Thank you for your support!

Hey everyone! 🙌

I’ve searched this group thoroughly and checked the official websites, but I couldn’t find clear answers to these specific questions — so I hope it’s okay to ask directly here. I’d *really* appreciate any insights or recent experiences you’re willing to share!

1. Income Requirements for the DTV (Workcation) Visa

I know there’s no *official* minimum income listed for the Workcation category — but from your personal experiences:

* Is there a general income level where people usually get approved?

* Or an income range where people tend to get denied?

I’m trying to figure out if the Workcation route is realistic for me, or if I should look into other visa options.

2. Financial Documents from Brazil

Since my company is based in Brazil, my tax documents are from the Brazilian tax agency.

* Do they need to be apostilled, or is a printout from the official tax site + translation enough?

* Can I translate them myself into English, or does it need to be done by a certified translator (in Brazil or Thailand)?

3. Originals vs. Digital Copies (Work Contracts or Proof of Income)

One of the companies I work with (in Norway) will provide a letter confirming my work and income, but they’ll send it as a PDF by email, not a physical original.

* Are PDF versions accepted, or do Thai immigration/embassies ever ask for the original hard copies?

Thanks so much in advance — I truly appreciate any tips, insights, or real experiences you’re open to sharing! 🙏

Hi everyone, thank you so much — your posts have been incredibly helpful and I really appreciate this community! 🙏

I have a question about the financial documents for the DTV application. I'm planning to apply from Taiwan.

I currently have the following:

* 5 million JPY in a fixed deposit account (fully liquid, I can withdraw it anytime). This is approximately 1.1 million THB.

* 500,000 JPY in a regular bank account, which is about 110,000 THB.

I read from previous posts that PayPal is not accepted, so I’m not planning to submit that.

However, most of my income in the past year has been received through PayPal, and I haven’t been transferring it to my bank account regularly.

This is because the Japanese yen has dropped significantly in value, and my Japanese bank requires me to convert the funds into JPY when withdrawing from PayPal, which I’m trying to avoid.

So, while I have enough income and transaction history in PayPal to prove financial stability, I understand this might not be valid for DTV.

Just to confirm: would income shown in PayPal still count if not withdrawn into a bank account?

Also, regarding the fixed deposit — I know it’s liquid and accessible, but can it be used as valid financial proof for the DTV?

I run my own business and do not have any income from Thailand, so I believe I meet the other criteria.

But I’m a bit unsure about whether my current documents for proof of funds and income are acceptable when applying in Taiwan.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

Hi all,

I have a question regarding where to upload additional documents. Since the provided fields are designated for specific documents, where can I add extra files such as my condo contract in Bangkok, cover letter, CV, payslips, proof of self-employment registration, salary transaction statements, health insurance documents, and similar paperwork?

i know I can merge files together, but i would like to be sure I upload them in the correct field.

I hope someone can help clarify this.

Thank you!

Anyone have personal experience with the LTR Work from Thailand visa? Specifically looking to chat with someone around the company financial documents required if your company is not publically listed but meets the revenue threshold.

I already have access to the data and permission to use it for my visa application. My questions are around details and formatting.

Came to Jakarta the day prior to submitting - 10/10.

Had 6 months of financials - they actually gave me back 4 months said only needed 2, but more is always better in this case imo.

Soft power documents- in my case Muay Thai

Documentation of flights in and out of Indonesia and accommodation

5.6m idr

And copy of passport with all stamps and bio page

Application filled out, signed and photos stapled already

I arrived at 645, the first person arrived at 3am straight from the airport. I was in and out before 10am my time at the window was literal minutes I had everything ready to go; was told to come back Thursday 10/14 and given a slip.

Retrieved it today and I did not see ANY rejections out of the 30ish people I talked too, so all applied for various reasons from soft power to medical to digital nomad.

Hope this is helpful they will close in person the 21st so if are considering I would book a flight asap

Cheers.
