Hey!!
Is anyone able to help me with these please?
I have applied from London embassy. I live and work in Spain in the summers. I sent my Spanish bank statements in English with enough money in?
Shout I write a cover letter for them and explain I live and work in Spain in the summers?
And upload that along with my Spanish statement again and also prove my English bank statement with my home address on?
I have also sent everything that the Muay Thai gym has sent me.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated thank you 🙏
I submitted my paperwork on October 13th, got documents requested on the 17th, and I’ve been waiting since. Is it worth visiting the Embassy in-person to get an update? They immediately hangup the phone if I try to call, and when I emailed them before, they said it would be processed by yesterday. I’m supposed to head out tonight, so I’m worried.
My application was approved, and I'm posting this as a reference for those applying through the embassy in Mexico City.
I decided to apply in my own country instead of going to a country in Southeast Asia because that way I avoid translations and misunderstandings in my documents, as well as unnecessary reviews.
Category: Workcation.
Application started on October 20th
Request for extra documents: October 21st (An extra ID in addition to the passport) as proof of current location.
Application accepted October 24th.
The documents were organized as follows:
FINANCIAL EVIDENCE
- 3 last work payslips
- 3 bank statements with + 500k baht
EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
- Resume
- Employment contract
- Job Letter (stating that "I can work remotely from Thailand")
- Personal Letter Explaining My work
- 3 samples of my work (Portfolio)
CURRENT LOCATION
- Covering letter (Stating that I will follow all the rules established by the Kingdom of Thailand regarding the DTV)
- Passport scan (all pages)
I will answer any specific questions that applicants at this embassy may have. Cheers
Hi guys,
I have an online business that grossed around €50k in revenue but most of that was put back into the business rather than paying myself apart from in dribs and drabs.
Do I need to be seen paying myself on a regular basis or will the business turnover be enough. Also, I have multiples of the B500k in my personal current/ savings accounts so hopefully that will appease them.
Thanks

Hi Guys, i will be applying DTV (Muay Thai) in Hanoi soon. For the bank statement submission, do you include all of the pages of a statement? Or just the page with ending balance?
P.S. For some months, my bank statement can be 5-7 pages long.
Working on my DTV visa app and wondering about the photo requirement- if the system accepts the photo, is it good to go and will be accepted? It flagged the first one I uploaded but the 2nd time around it seems fine... anyone?
I have just got a retirement visa until December 2026. I am just wondering how that affects my travel insurance, I currently have a yearly worldwide travel insurance bought travelling from uk . I just wondered if anyone had any issues continuing to use this type of insurance after getting a retirement visa. I suppose the insurance could say I am not travelling if I have visa, or do you think they known the complexities of travel in Thailand. I don’t stay any more than 6 months and I do go to other countries . I am going to get a psa test , not through insurance but the hospital needs to see my passport so it made me think if I ever had a medical emergency then would the hospital declare to the insurance company I am a retirement visa holder.
I know I will obviously have to check with insurers but just wondered if anyone had come across this , or am I overthinking it?
The other question is do Thai government inform your own country that you have been granted a retirement visa ? I’m just thinking the tax implications etc.
I know it’s probably questions I should have asked before getting visa lol before all the smart Alex and Annie’s start to roast me .
Thanks in advance for replies
Dear brains trust,
I have recently entered Thailand on an Non Imm multi-entry O-X visa. Bank account and drivers license all done, working on the yellow book currently. I would like to confirm the following:
1. When I travel out of the country for short business trips, I will not need a re-entry permit as my visa is a multi-entry visa....correct?
2. The usual 90 days in-county reporting applies?
3. I am required to report to immigration for a 1 year visa review (funds in account etc).
4. Bank balance required after the first year report to immigration?
Thank you for your time.
Kind regards, John
