Hey everyone. So anyone have an experience with the evisa system? Does it actually go to the consulate in the country you are in? Or does it go to like a central embassy in Thailand?

Does anyone have any advice on the best place to travel to to get a non-immigrant B visa at the moment? Vientiane? Penang? Singapore? Cambodia? It's hard to find info as most of the consulate sites are broken or down.

Thanks šŸ™

I have a lot of Thai visa's in my passport including Tourist, edu, and work. My most recent is a multiple entry tourist good for up to 9 months that I got in New York. I need one more tourist visa before I fly back to the US. I only have 3 pages left in my passport (in different spots throughout the book). I'm thinking about flying to Kuala Lumpur to get my tourist visa but I heard it's harder than Vientiene. In Malaysia I don't need a visa but in Laos I do. This will take up more space, and I'm not sure how much space I need for my Thai visa and stamps. Thanks for any advice :)

ED visa applications possibly denied?

I've been in touch with 3-4 schools offering ED visas in Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen. All of them lay out the directions and process for getting the ED visa specifically through Laos. When I asked if other countries' embassies are OK, they say basically "yes, but we recommend Laos for its convenience." I don't know if they are referring to the overland convenience of travel there over, say, Cambodia or Malaysia or that other consulates are iffy. I have a trip to Cambodia coming up and my plan was to get the ED visa there. I'm wondering if the schools recommend Laos b/c it's just geographically easier or if other consulates sometimes deny EDs.
