As many of you, I have some questions regarding the visa.

I’m a French passport holder currently living in Bali.

I’d like to stay at least a year in Thailand and be based in the capital city.

However I’m not quite certain with the process as I see so many different things said about this topic.

Would someone enlighten me on the current process where there are not many visa runs included.

And yes, I have read the previous chats but I still enjoy human interaction.

I am in Thailand now. Can I go to Cambodia stay a couple days to get proof of location apply for the DTV online then head back to Thailand on the 60 day visa exempt and if DTV approved just use it on my next entry to Thailand? Has anyone done this?

Can you get the tourist vat refund on purchases when leaving Thailand for a week if you have the DTV?

Does anyone know of a process of moving DTV e-visa to a new passport? Can it be done in Thailand or you need to go back to consulate where you received the DTV?

Is TM 30 only is okay for proof of location in thailand as i didn’t get any rental contract from my house owner.

I am 71 years old and on ME OA (R) Visa issued in South Africa. Valid until 27 Feb 2025. I need to do first one year extension in Feb 2025. I want to use the Income method but my problem is that I only managed to open Bank Account in April.

(We arrived in March) I do have proof of arriving with Forex in excess of Baht 100 k cash for March but will only have bank statements for 11 months to prove 65k income. Will immigration accept the cash forex as income for March to meet the 12 month requirement?

If it is an option could I use a combination Income plus 400k bank

balance ?

Hi I am trying to book an appointment for the DTV visa in HCMC, Vietnam. But it says all appointment spots are full pretty much well into next year even?

@I went on Wednesday and they asked for more documents (I needed my companies license with a government stamp@). Typhoon caused the consulate to be closed on Thursday so we came back to reapply today and it was very simple.

My fiancé applied with soft power and didn’t get approved as his medical papers from Bangkok Hospital we’re not “detailed enough”… even tho he had appointments 6 months out. They gave him a 90 day tourist visa that only cost 1200NTD so worse things could have happened. We are getting married anyways so we will do this and then I will apply with him as my dependent.

Does anyone know if you have to leave Thailand to add a dependent?

May I ask you a question about name orientation

My brother got DTV from Thai Embassy, Jakarta this week.

His name in passport is something like George Ezra ( given name,surname) but in DTV, it’s mentioned as Ezra George (surname,given name).

Would that be a problem in Thailand Airport Immigration?
