I am planning to apply DTV visa in Vietnam.

Is TM 30 only is okay for proof of location in thailand as i didn’t get any rental contract from my house owner.

They gave just a payment receipt .

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the requirements for applying for a DTV visa from Vietnam. It clarifies that a TM30 form is not necessary for proof of accommodation in Thailand, and a rental contract is also not required. Instead, applicants should focus on submitting their accommodation booking confirmation for Vietnam. It's suggested to check with the embassy for any specific requirements regarding proof of location.

You do not have to have a rental agreement in Thailand to apply for the DTV.

certain embassies require it eg the KL embassy. But not for the two embassies / consulates in Vietnam.

TM30 isn’t useful outside of Thailand. You don’t need proof of address in Thailand to apply DTV. Some countries require proof of location in the country you apply from. I don’t think Vietnam does, but just check with the embassy
