Do you need to leave Thailand to add a dependent to a DTV for remote work?
Just found out I was approved for remote work DTV in Taipei!🎉
@I went on Wednesday and they asked for more documents (I needed my companies license with a government stamp@). Typhoon caused the consulate to be closed on Thursday so we came back to reapply today and it was very simple.
My fiancé applied with soft power and didn’t get approved as his medical papers from Bangkok Hospital we’re not “detailed enough”… even tho he had appointments 6 months out. They gave him a 90 day tourist visa that only cost 1200NTD so worse things could have happened. We are getting married anyways so we will do this and then I will apply with him as my dependent.
Does anyone know if you have to leave Thailand to add a dependent?

Is it mean he applied DTV ,paid fee for DTV and was reject, then the embassy give him TR visa and paid for fee a1200 NTD again?

Did they ask you to notarise or have your country embassy legalise the certificate for your company as well?

Yes, he would have to apply for the visa outside of Thailand. Same process, but instead of showing medical appointments or remote work, he will need to show that he is married to you and that you have a DTV. Same requirements though regarding visa costs and having 500K in the bank.

As you can see in the image, there are three routes (digital nomad, soft power, and being related to someone else with a DTV. These are all listed under #5 purpose of the visit, but required documents 1-4 are required by all regardless of purpose of trip. So everyone has to supply 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (5 depending on the mode you are apply via)

I’m from the USA. And yes it is an LTD based out of Canada.

yes I saw months ago people were getting approved with medical pretty easy. Now it seems like a frowned upon option. They go to evisa Nov 19th anyway so we’ll see how it goes
