I am looking for a bit of guidance, I am currently in thialand on a UK passport but I want to travel to vietnam from Bangkok airport, and then from there to pnom pen via the mekong, and then fly back to Thailand. Do I have to get a return ticket to vietnam or can I travel on a single ticket.?

after only 5 days of processing time (Frankfurt, Germany) I have received my DTV visa.

I have uploaded my passport with my bio data, my ID card as proof of residence, confirmation of current bank balance from Sparkasse + 6 months bank statement (everything blacked out except for the date and the amounts) and my employment contract, as well as additional agreement with remote office approval and a commercial register extract.

Will HCMC or Hanoi accept current balance of 500k from two different bank account

Krunsgri + Lloyd’s in UK.

If I manage to borrow money from back home would rather not send it ….to my Thai account and back

Could lose nearly 10,000 in fees + conversion I think

I'm applying for a DTV from the US. I have a physical address but I'm moving soon, will they be mailing me anything if/once I get approved, or is everything through email? Just making sure I don't miss any important documents.

Hey, would anyone be able to clarify the definition of ‘spouse’ in Thai visa law for the DTV visa? Can you be married in Thailand or does it have to be in your home country? Is proof of the relationship enough or do you NEED a marriage certificate?

For context, my partner and I have been together for 15 years and have a daughter. We have previously held partner de facto visas in Australia where proof of the relationship is accepted as eg; child’s birth certificate, photos and written statements, and a marriage certificate was not required.

1. Mon 11pm: applied for DTV in Hanoi

- Location: Vietnam entry stamp + Airbnb booking

- Activity: Muay Thai confirmation letter + study plan (6 months course)

- Balance: 3 months transactions export from bank, $15k balance was added just ~5 days before applying

- Stay: Name of hotel booking in Thailand (6 months)

2. Tue 11am: request for additional document

- Submitted ID card of gym owner (letter issuer)

- Submitted business registration of Muay Thai gym

3. Fri 6.30pm: DTV visa approved 🥳

PS: gf got hers at like Fri 10pm...so keep an eye out for that email!

I'm looking into the DTV. I'm an American digital nomad running a YT channel and online music teaching program as a sole proprietor. Pretty DIY so my proof of work would be my YouTube channel and teaching site. I'm not an LLC or anything. Will this cause any issues?

So I already applied for the DTV visa, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I might need to travel to Thailand before I get it.

Does anyone think there would be any issue if I entered Thailand on the regular visa waiver while my DTV is being processed? I would then use the DTV visa upon my next entry.

Has anyone tried this or had any issues?

Is DTV available to all African citizens? Specifically Ethiopia? Any one know?
