Hello everyone !

A group of Indian friends is coming to Thailand for about 2 weeks and are unaware of visa requirements. I know that Indian citizens have been granted a waiver of VISA requirements by the Thai Government until November.

Does it mean that they do not have to prepare any particular document and they will just get stamped at the airport?

Thank you very much for your kind advice and have a good day.

Hi I've tried to use the search and can't find any recent feedback. I go to TH 3-4 times a year from Europe on a 30 day visa waiver and usually stay 3-4 weeks. I will fly there in Jan and after a week. or so I plan to go to Phnom Penh for a week and then I'd like to get a tourist visa from the Thai Embassy in PP to re-enter for 2-3 month's. A few years ago I did this and I remember there were a few extra requirements that they didn't have in places like Vientiane. Can anyone offer any advice or feedback on getting a Thai tourist visa in PP. Do I need to make an appointment, will I need bank statements etc? For reference I intend to fly back into BKK. Thanks

Hi, just confirming that if you enter (for the first time) via airplane on a visa waiver 30 days, you don't need TM6 for the 30 day extension?

METV Visa Application, Running Out Of Time Before Flight

I applied for a METV on August 30th, on Sept 9th they asked for additional paperwork, which I had already submitted originally, but whatever, I resubmitted it the same down. My application now says, "Pending Issuance."

My flight leaves September 28th (Tuesday of next week) and I'm starting to get worried I won't get my METV in time.

I email the LA Consulate (I'm American) and they just said, "It take 15 business days, please be patient."

Would calling the consulate help speed things up? Could I got on a 45 day visa waiver, get my METV visa when I'm in the country, and do a border run to activate it? Just looking for options as I'm starting to worry.

My 30 days visa waiver ends 28th of this month so I am applying for 30 day extension. Little confused as the immigration official said it had to be done 2 days before expiry of the 30 days I was given on entry. The date on my departure form. Is this correct ? He also said I needed a RM30 or TM30 from hotel. Is this all correct ?

Thank you for the add to the group.

We are UK citizens and I could have applied for the 60 tourist visa online as I'm French resident, but my wife is Swiss resident meaning she had to go to the Thai embassy in Bern which was not logistically possible as she was not in Switzerland, so we used the 30 day visa waiver arriving in Thailand on the 10th Dec. We will need to extend the visa waivers in Rayong as we are here for 43 days. Could anyone tell me the earliest date we can apply for the extension, as our current Visa waiver ends on 08.01.22.

I think the doc's I need are:

Passport & copies, Passport sized photo, return air ticket, copy of our TM30 (where do we get that?)

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi, I am flying from Siem Reap to Yangon (via Bangkok) in a couple of weeks time, and thinking of going through Bangkok immigration to put my drone in left luggage as there may be issues bringing it into Burma. 3 weeks later I fly from Yangon to Krabi (again via Bangkok) and will go through immigration in Bangkok again to collect it (although Iโ€™m not sure whether Iโ€™d go through immigration to get my connecting flight to Krabi anyway as itโ€™s domestic?). I also was in Thailand for 3 weeks a couple of months ago. Is having so many entries/exits in my passport in a short space of time one or two of them for less than an hour) likely to cause me any issues? Iโ€™m a UK national and would be using the visa waiver. Iโ€™m worried the short entries might make them think Iโ€™m conducting business rather than a genuine tourist? Thanks!
