Today I did my 90 day report in Koh Samui.

What you need:-

TM30 from your accommodation

Copy of your DTV visa (evisa)

Copy of passport

Copy of visa stamp in your passport.

You don’t need to fill in any forms.

15 minutes later got my passport back with the registration paper stapled inside.

😊

For someone over 50 looking to retire in Thailand, what are the pro and cons of the new DTV and the Retirement Visa?

I've got another everything else. I posted similar before, but I want specific input. Need to order some computer components. Two low end machines (no, I do not want to just buy a premade system) so cases, motherboards, etc...

Looking for a place that is reliable and the shipping to Thailand won't be prohibitive.

How much remaining validity for one's passport is required when one applies to extend their "retirement visa" for an additional year?

I'm a bit stuck with wonder if anyone can help with some advice.

My plan is to purchase property with my wife, so I need a bank account. She will purchase in her name, and offer a lease with a loan to give me some security. I'm chatting with Pattaya agencies to assist with getting a bank account. I've been told I can't get a bank account on a visa exemption because I'm under 50. So - I need a visa first, yet visas often seem to need a bank account!

My circumstances:

-British Citizen, under 50.

-Married to my Thai wife 13 years, dual nationality.

-We live in the UK

-She changed her name to English name on both passports + Thai ID

-But- we don't have a marriage certificate in Thailand

-Child born in England, dual nationality with full passport+Thai ID

-Only on visa exemption

Problem is - I don't think any of the visa categories work.

-Marriage visa - requires money in a Thai bank account, and a house book entry

-Retirement visa - not old enough

-None of the work visas make sense, I'm not working.

Hi guys and apologise if someone has asked this already. Do you know if you can switch visas from work permit to DTV? And if so, is it still required to leave the country? Thanks!

Edit: I finally managed to submit after starting a 3rd application. Fingers crossed !! 🀞

The preview of my birthday is auto changing to be incorrect. It is the 21st, not 22nd or 20th, as this sometimes displays. Has anyone else had this issue? I’ve deleted my first application only to encounter the same problem no matter how many times I go in and correct it. My fear is it will change when I pay and submit πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜

I heard sometime ago that if you had a child of Thai nationality and your name is on the birth certificate there is a visa which allows you to stay as a parent in Thailand once the child leaves education and starts work and supports a parent living in Thailand aged over 65 ?

I have currently a Non O visa with funds tied up in my bank account and would like the option of withdrawing the money and investing elsewhere

Anyone shine a light on this type of visa ?

During the e-visa application process, if they ask for additional documentation, is there a size limit to additional documents as well? I'm trying to consolidate statements that may be required. Just wondering if there is a limit.

Is there any information if TINs or tax clearance receipts are now required to renew Non O visas for retired expats ?
