Quick question about the DTV visa 🇹🇭

When I applied, I indicated that I would arrive in Thailand about 2 weeks later. If my DTV gets approved tomorrow, is it okay if I book a flight and arrive the same day or the next day?

Has anyone done this before? Any issues at immigration or with the airline?

Silly question. For DTV Hanoi applicants, what time of day did you get your approval email? With Tet coming up and visa deadlines around this period, I’m curious and anxious about the typical timing. TIA.

Question about DTV timing:

I heard that when the DTV visa gets approved, you must not be in Thailand at that moment, not only when applying. I also saw a reel where someone claimed they got a 1-year Thailand ban because they were in Thailand during the approval.

Does anyone here have reliable info or real experience with this? Otherwise, if it doesn’t get approved in time before my flight, my plan would be to enter on a tourist visa and do a short exit and re-entry once the DTV is approved. Thanks!

Got DTV visa (Spouse / Dependent) approved in HCMC, Vietnam.

with Sponsor letter from wife (Main DTV-Visa Holder)

Timeline:

• DAY 1 (Tuesday) – submitted application

• DAY 2 (Wednesday) – pending approval

• DAY 9 (Wednesday) – visa approved ✅

My main DTV visa was approved and after the approval we submitted the dependent visa application for my husband. (same day)

I sponsored him, and these are the documents we provided in one PDF for the financial / sponsor proof:

- Sponsor letter

- Copy of my passport

- 3 months of bank statements (because a lot of people ask this in the group — I used the same 500,000 THB that I used for my own application, and he was also approved with it)

- Our international marriage certificate

No questions. No additional documents requested. Just one week of waiting at the pending approval stage.

- Passport

- Photograph

- Copy of the main DTV visa

- Proof of location (flight booking confirmation, boarding pass, entry stamp, hotel reservation in Vietnam, photo with passport in front of the hotel)

- International marriage certificate (we added a separate page to the international marriage certificate with a short note that it is already translated into English and that English is the third language on the document. I saw in the group before that embassies sometimes miss this. So we added it just in case.)

Does anyone know roughly for the dependents on a dtv visa eg spouse or kids how long it takes from your approval as the main dtv holder, to there’s please. Thanks

I just received notification that my Non O retirement visa was approved. They sent me the E Visa to my e mail. Do I need to print that or just keep the e mail when I arrive to immigration. Also did I screw up on the timing as far as applying for the Non O. It says approved and shows expiration December 7th but my flight arrival is October 31.. I thought when approved it starts upon entry to Thailand. If thats the case do I have enough time to do the 1 year extension when I arrive? Thank you for your help.

I applied DTV on 20th on Cambodia and still it's pending approval for 21 days already. How can I know how long do I have to wait more? I'm stressed.

Is there any chance you could get approval of DTV-Dependant Visa on a Saturday or Sunday? My status at the moment is "pending arroval" after they asked for additional documents yesterday. I applied through Thai Embassy, Jakarta.
