What could be the reasons for my Thailand DTV visa rejections after an education visa?

This year, after my education visa expired, I applied for the DTV twice.

The first time was through an agency under the “sports” category (in Malaysia) , and the second time was also through an agency, using proof of funds in my bank account (in vietnam). Both applications were rejected.

Why do you think this could have happened?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has experienced two rejections when applying for a Thailand DTV visa after their education visa expired. They initially applied through an agency in Malaysia using the 'sports' category and subsequently in Vietnam utilizing proof of funds from their bank account. Community responses suggest several factors for the rejections: potential flags on their visa profile, the legitimacy of the gym used for 'sports', proper documentation, the cancellation of their previous education visa, and whether they met all eligibility criteria for the visa application.

Did you and your school cancel your ED extension?did you take the paperwork from the school to immigration?If not it could still be active and there not issuing a new visa if anything is active

can you elaborate please? I got info from my agent that it is just rejected without giving a reason.
Lynnette *******
@Michał **********
he is asking if you cancelled the ED visa. You need to answer that for people to help you.
Bob **********
@Michał **********
no they don’t give a reason but if you didn’t cancel your ED stuff at immigration before you left I’d bet this is your problem

You haven't given enough information to really help other than to guess? If you applied for a soft power DTV then the key is making sure the facility you are using for example if using muay thai then the gym needs to be accredited and the course to last 6 months. The rest of the paperwork is straight forward.

i dont have any information from my agent of how the paperwork looks like. I never seen it. They once help me with EDU so I trusted them
David *******
@Michał **********
if you didn’t even look at the paperwork the agent prepared then you are not ready for DTV. You need to know what the basis is for your application - is it workation, is it soft power? The information you give is so little that I don’t think anyone can really help
Graeme ******
@Michał **********
arh not a good idea, you should have seen what the agent was submitting for you so you know it was all ok. That will be your problem the paperwork will be incorrect
Michał ***********

@Graeme *****
I understood it now. So, do you think it is my mistake from the beginning to not interested about paperwork untill secone rejection?
Graeme ******
@Michał **********
ask agent what paperwork did they submit and check it over to make sure what is incorrect, probably the soft power paperwork
Wayne *********
@Michał **********
maybe they lied took your money and did not even apply. They should be able to provide email evidence of application and also rejection
Kurt *************
Not good enough paperwork or not eligible. Maybe a red flag in your profile. Can be hard to say without all the facts but beeing rejected with softpower muay thai and a agent is not very usual i think. What did agent say?? Same agent both times?? I kinda almost want to see that paperwork

Seems like you have a history of trying to stay in Thailand and Immigration are clamping down now.
Wayne *********
@Michał **********
Maybe you have history of staying in Thailand they dont like but normally they dont communicate with immigration so I tend to think your agents stuffed up and did not submit correct paperwork
Andi ***********
Did you check the gym used by the agency was govt approved and submitted all course docs, 6 plus months course? Some agents use non regulated gyms. Malaysia is the toughest embassy to get DTV approval. Much easier doing it yourself in Vietnam, Laos Indonesia.

next time I will do it by myself without any help

Others have been successful by themselves after failing via an agency, you can too. Check the main DTV group on FB for a lot of tips on applying.

Were you on an ED visa or extension of stay? If the latter have you cancelled it? And did you attend all the classes required by the school you attended?
Michał ***********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@John *********
no, my edu visa end some time ego, after i start my DTV process
Lynnette *******
You need to answer the question about the ED visa and if it was an extension, did you go to immigration and cancel it. People can't help if you don't answer
John **********
@Michał **********
that's not what I asked. I can't help if you don't answer questions
Roman **********
But did you explicitly go down to immigration and cancel it after with your completion documents.

If not it will cause issues for future visas, even if expired and void.

Because you are 81?

@J *************
what it mean?
John *******
What do you mean by “sports category”? Do you mean soft power? If so, what soft power? Muay Thai? Also, what do you mean by second time via “proof of funds” category. All categories require proof of funds. Do you mean remote work?
Michał ***********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@John ******
yes, remote work. To be honest I dont even know what they put there. I just trustrd them becouse they once helped me with EDU visa.
John *******
@Michał **********
- Most agencies that help with your application are helping you gather the right documents. However, it sounds like you went with an agency that might have just made up documents. This is probably the issue . Now that you have been rejected twice, it will be very difficult to get approval
Michael *******
Perhaps you’re profile has raised a red flag and they believe you’re trying to live here on wrong visa.

@Michael ******
what do you mean flag? For what? Can you elaborate?

I got the same situation with you, I went to Vietnam apply for the DTV Visa, the Royal Thai Embassy replied me only 3 words, ( wrong person information ) I really don't understand their replied, I submitted all information as my personal details, Would like to ask your application via the agency ( by soft power ) , the agency, do they refund the agency fees for you while your DTV application not approved ? WILL YOU keep on going to apply for the DTV Visa through another agency or apply it from different Asian countries again ?
