Has anyone been approved with a sponsorship letter from their parents in Laos to be the primary holder of the DTV? To be clear, my parents are not applying for the DTV but they would be sponsoring me.
If not, which countries have success rates with a sponsorship letter? I have a few friends who applied from the US successfully, but I’m already in Southeast Asia. Could I leave Thailand and say I’m in the US to apply? My friends were in Europe but said they were in the US.
Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the feasibility of using a sponsorship letter from parents in Laos to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand. The author is seeking information on whether others have successfully used such a sponsorship and is curious about the success rates in other countries, particularly given the experiences of friends applying from the US and Europe. Commenters noted that Laos, Vietnam, and specific embassies do not accept sponsored funds without the money being in the applicant's account. Additionally, one commenter warned against lying on the application, as it could lead to rejection.
You can try and lie on your application and take the risk but must accept if you are caught the DTV will be rejected and it may effect further applications.
