I don't have advice for an agent there because I did mine in Bangkok. But I applaud your choice of utilizing an agent. It made things so much easier and faster. All done in under a day with no stress. It costs more but money can be made and time cannot.

Start out with the 800k and then add an extra 100k to allow for "fluctuations". This seems like a pretty simple concept.

I'm keeping everything that's coming to me going into my US bank, then bring it over to Thailand when necessary. I think this would serve as a double advantage for you in your situation so that your income remains in your own name in your own account so should things go south, no one else can get their hands on your money.
