We've ended on the agreement of if he wants to come back then he can present as homeless and elderly and knackered. Get housed, sort himself out and if he can save to go back again then thats his choice. (We will of course sort him out when he gets home, but also if he wants to come back again for 6 months then he needs accommodation and to take some responsibility).

it's the visa runs that hes messed up with I've now realised. Seems things have changed and he's not up to date with exactly what's best, hence me delving into everything. He's happy to live a budget lifestyle, he's been in Thailand for 6 years, 8 in total if I include the 3 month stints before he went for good.

I'd rather have him at home now but that's mainly because his health is bad and he's just been over for 6 months to live with us and save money to go back. He returned to Thailand in Nov, now he's in Vietnam and asking to come home and live rent free for another 6 months to re fund his dream.

Fine as a one off but we cant support his lifestyle for him

thanks for your reply. I'm honestly not judging him. I've been over solo to spend time with him there and I totally get it.

The point of my post is to see if he can wangle getting his retirement visa again as he's ballsed it up and coming home again to re plan.

He thinks he can get back in and everything I've seen says differently. So thought I'd b3st ask those with a real world working knowledge 🙂
