John Roche this was my worry! Not that I can't be arsed dealing with him 😂 I fully expected that not everyone would read it as intended, as it's quite a ramble. Ive just written a seperate comment with an update on our plan of action ♥️
First of all thank you to everyone who has replied, even the ones who have misunderstood my reasons and think I'm a horrid 🐮 😂
My dad has thought things through and has decided on coming back to the UK for around a year as his main health issue is knee replacement surgery is desperate. He's already on list for it. So we (me and siblings) are sorting him an apartment, making all the arrangements and doctors appointments, sorting furnishings and finances. We will take him to all necessary appointments, support him back to health after knee surgery. After all that he plans to go back to Thailand for good. May take a little more than a year, he might get lucky and take less time. We will fully support him with return to Thailand. I'm even looking into seeing if we can get his Thai partner over for a few months on a visit. We'll probably help with flight costs too.
So yes, what a self centred selfish daughter I am 😂😂
Also I'll be running my business, looking after my young children with additional needs, trying to find time for my husband and maybe even sticking a brush up my arse whilst Im at it 🤣
Thank you to everyone for helping me understand that he can definitely, for the right price, pick up his retirement visa again when he's back 🙏🏼♥️
PS, I'll likely be asking at some point how I can get his Thai partner over for a few months, so strap in hahaha. She's cared for my dad for a long time and I think it would be lovely if we could repay that by having her visit England
Harry Hihope I'm happy for him to be in Thailand, just so long as his safe, healthy and financially stable. Much as I joke about him being at home watching bargain hunt, I'd rather him he having a ball in a tropical country and living his retirement to the full
Bob Fom please read the reply I wrote to John Roche above.
I've clothed myself from the age of 14, had no financial support from any parent since age 16 and had my own home and bills from the age of 17. I absolutely adore my dad and will do anything to help and support him. Thats why I'm on here asking you lot. I dont want to trip him up, I want him to be happy. Currently his knees are fked, he's messed up his finances and he needs whatever support works for long time 🙂
John Roche 😂😂😂😂 Honestly please read it all again thoroughly. I'm doing all I can to help him get things right.
This is EXACTLY me taking care of him. If I wasn't arsed then I wouldn't have spent hours on here knowing I'll get a roasting for essentially asking if her can get around staying in Thailand illegally.
What i don't want is him rocking back up at the airport and getting denied entry. If he CAN get away with getting back in then I'm over the moon for him. What I don't want is him effing it up and landing back home because he'll be devastated and also obviously it will be difficult for me too.
Just to add, my decent life that I have has been completely self funded from myself being self sufficient in my own house from the of 17 without any financial support.
I knew I'd get replies like this at some point and still here sticking my neck out to help my dad enjoy his retirement 🙂
Rae Wang he's got by on being a chancer all his life, unfortunately he can't see that he's knocking on a bit and in poor health mobility wise. Love him to bits and want him to be happy and enjoy his life, but he's not in the real world 😆
