Thanks Robert - so my question is, if i was divorced from my thai wife, would i be able to get a non O based on having two kids with her still living in thailand?
And this certificate of residence can be easily obtained? i reafd somewhere police stations can issue them - is this so or do you have to attend an immigration office?
i did it before a few times and never had any problem coming back - but that was a few years ago. i don't think you will have a problem - but avoid doing it again - the problem happens if you are overstayed and the police ask to see your passport for any reason - i think you get taken to the immigration jail immediately. stay inside your visa date, be safe (y)
