I have a friend hoping to apply for a non based on marriage at Savannakhet next week. He and his wife live in Korat province in rented accomodation and have no housebook for his wife here.
Will be be able to apply using the landlord's housebook signed by landlord along with rental agreement, or will he have to get the housebook with his wife's name on it - her parents presumably?
TIA for any advice.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquiring about the Non-O visa for marriage at Savannakhet wants to know if they can apply using the landlord's housebook and rental agreement instead of having the housebook in the wife's name. It's important to note that all Thais have a housebook, which can be obtained from a local tabon office. If the wife does not have her housebook on hand, she should inquire about its location, as this is crucial for the visa application process. Without her name on the housebook, the application may face complications.
