How does that work compared to a muay thai or cooking class? As there is no entity to pay for a service if one is working remotely, is that correct? So for example only, Im working as an online tutor for a Chinese company tutoring non Thais in Chiang Mai?

Ive already been told by an agent I need to show CURRENT payments for the application, so they wont allow me to commence once Im in Thailand. I already need to be working and receiving a wage to show them! I find that strange as for the soft power route its impossible to commence until you actually arrive!

Im looking at later this year so only foraging for info and experience at the moment. I do have the option of a Non-O but would rather avoid that option 👍

I was recently conversing via email with a company who told me they would cover my pre-existing condition and after telling them, they sent me a quote which I was happy with and on my return to Thailand (which I am not sure when that will be as I plan to relocate rather than take long breaks there) I will contact them to make an appointment at their office in Bang Saray. They have offices in Hua Hin and Phuket also

I can give you his email address via PM if you like?

I think the most important part of any insurance is being confident they will pay out rather than whether they cover you or not! Obviously they need to cover you for you to tke the policy out but I mean out of those that WILL cover you, its then wise to figure out which ones you trust to come good should the worst happen 🙂

Anonymous participant Im not sure about that. I think its a minimum of 500,000 baht that you have in LIQUID assets so no pensions or stocks n shares kinda stuff. Thats got to be in your account at the time you apply. Someone will hopefully add to this as Im sure somewhere I read the money has to be in your account 3 months prior and some time after but not sure how strict that is.

1st trip go on a visa exempt

2nd trip, go on a visa exempt and extend for 1 month at immigration in Thailand. As long as your total stay is no longer than 90 days

So if you arrive Jan 1, there are 31 days in January, then 28 in Feb totalling 59. March has 30 days so you will need to leave the last day in March IF you arrived Jan 1st

I think thats correct but of course they can alter the rules as there has been talk of them reducing the 60 day visa exempt to 30

Anonymous participant Im asking for myself, on the look out for some edibles 😁

I was told that if I wanted to work online teaching for example, that I need to be currently working as you need to show a live account salary is being paid into. I havent worked for 3 years online because the pay is low and Im in the UK so not worth it. But in Thailand it is. But the agency told me that I would need to be currently working. My thought process on that would be to sart working again say in VN, get my account live again and then apply for the DTV there. Im in no rush though as its summer here haha

I know you're going down the soft power route so the details may differ for the 2 of us but thats my limited experience so far

Why do you keep saying welcome to 2025? Are you registered with a mental condition because if you are it would be better to enlighten everyone as to avoid any confusion. Discrepencies need to made when conversing with people with social issues so we dont get the wrath of Zuckerberg for laughing at an oddball

Not sure if you have noticed but society is becoming increasingly idiotic. While most of us recognise there are no stupid questions, becuse if someone doesnt know something, they need to or have to ask a question to find out, right?

What this person has done is basically asked someone to do the work he should be doing himself! Anyone can figure out what they need to enter a country by searching google, hes got wifi or he wouldnt be able to ask on here!!! If one has searched google and found all the FACTS they require (no grey areas) but want some more intricate info, then fine, ask away for peoples personal experiences

If someone cannot figure out what the requirements are for themselves, or at least work out close to whats required, are you confident they should be wandering around an airport by themself?

The intelligence level of questions being asked on here on a regular basis are actually worrying
