Maybe we talking 2 different topics here. You Always need to register if you’re not on a tourist visa. In fact you always need to get reported but I have never gotten any problems if I didn’t get reported while I was on a tourist visa applying for an extension

They didn’t say which visa. As you said Non-Immigrant always needs TM 30. I got extension in Phuket

yes an airbnb and they didn’t ask for passport copies or the arrival card, which they would need to report me

i got extension in Phuket amd Chiang Mai without any problems. I guess it comes down if you need to show them TM 30 or not. And that has never been the case for me if I was just doing an extension

It will just become relevant if they need to do 90 days report. It was never an issue with visa extension

Did they increase the amount?? Here it says 400k and it doesn’t mention that it has to be on the account for 3 months ... that’s a real game changer 😕
