however do not get overconfident because they only expect you to do this a few times in a year and then they will question you seriously and you may be turned away. I almost was and they told me to come in again I had to apply for some other kind of Visa before arrival. Many have been turned away randomly so it's up to the worker that day.

If you don't have a legitimate exit air ticket get one from for temporary use because I've read that they don't consider a bus or train out of Thailand always sufficient for their requirements.

It's called Google... No one knows where you're from or anything so just start your research and then ask some specific question for clarification. Government and official websites are best and make sure it is the very most recent info.

Thanks but I am the business. I'm just a counselor and health coach working online with people or maybe doing classes so that's not really applicable in my case. There is no way I'm going to pay California state tax, US federal and Thai at 70 years old when I've paid taxes my whole life and I don't even live in the US anymore! Such a tyranny 😱

Yes that's exactly the problem and it's about 15%, but I don't have any family or any friends in any other state that would be also convenient for me to get my mail when I visit San Diego. There aren't many left and I believe Nevada is one.

But getting residency in the state you don't live in is not easy anymore either.

Well that could be a deal breaker and I don't know what an agent involves but so complicated at age 70! But can't afford to live in California anymore. And I have intermittently tried other countries and they all have their challenges.

California alone has 15% state income tax plus the federal plus another country... Not willing to give half or more of my money away to governments, especially when I don't even live in US anymore!

Not applying for an extension of an o visa because I haven't even applied for any visa yet. All my other entries were on US Visa exemption and then extensions, and returning at other times.

For most countries these days and onward ticket to anywhere is required within the 30 days or however long the visa is. It's not always immigration but the airlines because I have been asked in the past year going into Thailand and I am a retiree from US.

for 10 to $15usd and you'll receive it within an hour and just choose a popular city so they'll be lots of choices to reserve you a temporary flight and then they will cancel it within the day or so after it's date. Saves you the hassle and waiting for a refund.

Whatever company you use, be sure they say it has an actual PRN number which is your booking number so that if anyone in the rare event checked, it would show as legitimate. This company does and so do some others. But do print ticket separately so no one sees the email that it comes from or download it on your phone as a separate document.
