You are correct. You can also purchase house and land in wife's name and have a usufruct attached that gives you the right to reside in the property until you decide to leave or pass away.

Documents are only accepted in Thai or English. All visas are online now

I use fingerprint on the BB app. This just goes to show how staff at different branches have no clue about the rules. The most important requirement is to prove your address

You have to report every 90 days which is the same for all aliens. You can try and do it online but usually the first one is done in person. You just need your passport. The 90 day countdown starts the day you enter

I did this last year due to family bereavement. You have to get a new non imm O e-visa based on retirement. Then when you are back 30 days before the visa expires you apply for your extension

I think this guy is entering with a Visa on Arrival and these entries must show flight out within 15 days and hotel accommodation for the duration of their stay.

Nobody can answer your question unless you declare your nationality. If you come from one of the countries that qualify for a 60 day visa-exempt entry then you don't need a visa as you get stamped in free for 60 days on each visit.

I don't have a yellow book but my friend does. He uses it at DLT (driving licence and car registration). My bank told me I can't open a second account unless I have yellow book, work permit or letter from my embassy 🙁 He uses his pink ID card when he goes to public hospital and gets registered as a local. The standard computer system requires a 13 digit (I think) ID card number otherwise you get registered as an alien and charged more. He also said he sometimes gets into national parks using it but not every time. So it doesn't seem to be as useless as people say.
