Thank you, ya the money is not a problem, was also looking at going with the retirement visa but don't want to put $50k+ in a Thai bank.

 I hold 2 passports, but since most of my banking is in the US I will use my US passport. So I will be going through the Thai Consulate in Houston, TX.
